David Puig and Matthew Wolff lead by one stroke (12-under) heading into the final day at the LIV Golf Invitational Greenbrier. Both players are in search of their first victories on the Saudi-backed tour.

Bryson DeChambeau is in the same boat and trails by one stroke at 11-under, along with Richard Bland and Talor Gooch. The Oklahoma product Gooch can become the first golfer to win four times on LIV. He accomplished the feat of being the first to own three titles when he triumphed at LIV Andalucia in July.

We’ll provide one day three betting prediction in this article for a head-to-head matchup.

LIV Golf Invitational Greenbrier Day 3 Tip: H2H Matchup

The following pick is for the 18 holes played during Sunday’s final round.

Bryson DeChambeau over David Puig @ 20/31 (-155)

DeChambeau is currently enjoying a career resurgence after struggling in 2022 and at the beginning of this season. He has always had the talent. It’s been about whether or not he can unlock it.

He sure has in the last few months by recording three top-10 finishes and two top-fives in his last four starts, including a second-place finish at LIV Andalucia. In his last LIV start in London, he earned a T11. The SMU product also earned a top 20 at the U.S. Open and a solo second at the PGA Championship.

His opponent, Puig, has been a lot more inconsistent, with just one top 10 all year (T5 in Andalucia).

Before the Open Championship, according to Data Golf, DeChambeau gained strokes in seven-straight starts. On the contrary, Puig has picked up strokes in just three of his past seven starts.

DeChambeau knows how to close tournaments and play well during final rounds. As a major champion and an eight-time winner on the PGA Tour, he holds a significant edge in experience over the Spaniard. He’s also averaged 1.33 fewer strokes than Puig in final rounds this season.

Final round scoring averages (LIV)

  • DeChambeau: 69.0
  • Puig:71.33

The 29-year-old is also averaging better results than Puig on LIV.
