Fans of LIV Golf are in for a treat this weekend as the tour heads to Bedminster in New Jersey for a rare back-to-back tournament. Last weekend in Greenbrier, Bryson DeChambeau romped to victory by six shots after carding a ridiculous score of -23 over the three rounds of golf in West Virginia.
DeChambeau’s victory moved him into fifth place in the individual overall standings in the season, however, he would need to keep that level up over the final four events if he is to trouble Talor Gooch in first place. Gooch had a decent weekend himself last week and extended his lead over Cameron Smith to 15 points after finishing in a tie for 7th.
In the Team Standings, 4 Aces GC take a narrow lead over Torque GC into this weekend but will be concerned after a poor showing last week. All in all, this weekend is all set up to be a fascinating one around Trump National Golf Club and if you are planning on tuning in, then here are some free picks and predictions to consider.

Brooks Koepka to win the tournament
This time last year, many people had written Brooks Koepka off as a competitor at an elite level. Injuries had seemingly taken their toll on him and his confidence was shot to bits. To many, Koepka’s move to the LIV Golf Series that he had accepted this and that he was just looking to make some money now that his days of winning were apparently over.
In response, the 33-year-old has enjoyed a stellar season on tour and is still in contention for the overall individual prize within LIV for the 2022/23 season. The highlight of his season was undoubtedly lifting the PGA Championship – his 5th major triumph – in May but he will also be proud of his win at LIV Orlando back in April.
The win seemed to bring one of golf’s greatest competitors back to life as a week later he threatened to win his first green jacket at the Masters before being pipped to the post by Jon Rahm. Although he hasn’t won again since his PGA Championship triumph, he has done enough to stay in contention in the LIV Golf Series and now we’re at the business end of the season he is likely to put his foot down.
We are backing him to win this week because his form has been decent over the past few tournaments and he enjoys playing at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. What’s more, now the finishing line is now in sight meaning the competitive animal inside of Koepka will ignite.

Bryson DeChambeau to finish in the top five
Bryson DeChambeau’s emphatic victory last weekend in West Virginia was no fluke and we are backing him to be in contention for back-to-back wins this week. Prior to last weekend, DeChambeau had enjoyed three top-ten finishes in his previous four appearances on the LIV Tour and hadn’t finished lower than 13th in the standings since April.
He has slimmed down which has reduced his distance but drastically improved his accuracy and he arguably looks as good as he has done since he won the US Open back in 2020. His form is excellent and has got to be feeling good about his game after how performed last week which makes him a dangerous proposition this week. It wouldn’t surprise us if he wins again in New Jersey, however, stick with a top-five finish bet for insurance or even consider an each-way bet.
Cameron Smith to finish in the top ten
Prior to the Open Championship, Cameron Smith was playing as well as just about anyone else in the world of golf. He had finally secured his second win on the LIV Tour in London at the start of July after five consecutive top-12 finishes and came close to winning the US Open in June, too.
Smith’s performances in LIV have seen him become the most legitimate contender to Talor Gooch at the top of the individual leaderboard but he will need to outperform the American this week if he is to close the gap at the top of the standings. Expect him to bounce back from a mediocre performance last week with a solid top-ten finish here to pile the pressure on Gooch.
