A few months ago, South Africa made the decision to cancel their ODI series with Australia, knowing full-well that it may cost them the chance to qualify for this year’s World Cup.
Now, having picked up two wins from two against England, they’ll be thrilled at that decision. South Africa are looking on track to qualify without points from the Australia series, thanks to their strong performances here against England. Chances are, they’ll be eager to drive their point home on Wednesday with a big final showing to claim maximum points. Here’s our betting preview ahead of the third ODI between South Africa and England.
Prediction 1
South Africa to Win
11/10 (2.10)
Prediction 2
De Kock to Be SA's Top Run Scorer
4.00 (3/1)

Here at Pundit Feed, we love our cricket predictions. Below are the two best bets we suggest making on the South Africa vs England third ODI:
South Africa to Win @ 11/10 (2.10)
Bottom line is, South Africa want this more than England. The visitors have lost eight of their past ten ODIs, and yet rather than accepting responsibility and looking for solutions, the side appear to be blaming their woes on scheduling. While this may be the case in part, it ultimately gives off the impression that England don’t want to be here, and don’t really mind if they lose.
We think they will, give how motivated South Africa will be to prove they’ve still got it in ODI cricket, and pick up those valuable World Cup qualification points. The home team have found their batting mojo again, and as always are bowling beautifully when it counts.
Quinton de Kock to Be South Africa’s Top Run Scorer @ 4.00 (3/1)
Anyone who follows cricket knows that Quinton de Kock is a world class player. It may come as a surprise then, that the wicketkeeper batsman has not scored a half century in six months, or a century in over a year of ODI cricket.
However, there’s no better time for the man to do so than in a team that’s winning and motivated. We say QDC will break the drought on Wednesday, and rack up an 80+ score here to propel his country to a 3-0 sweep of the series.

South Africa vs England Preview and Team News
With these two bets in mind, here’s a look at a bit more information on each side ahead of the South Africa vs England third ODI.
South Africa
South Africa have yet again proven to the world their bowling prowess. When England looked like they’d run away with the game on Sunday, again South Africa bowled well in the last ten overs and pulled them back from what easily could have been a 400+ score. This is finally being matched by their batsmen, with the return to form of Bavuma a delight for all involved with South African cricket.
South Africa predicted XI: 1 Quinton de Kock (wicketkeeper), 2 Temba Bavuma (captain), Rassie van der Dussen, 4 Aiden Markram, 5 Heinrich Klaasen, 6 David Miller, 7 Marco Jansen, 8 Wayne Parnell, 9 Keshav Maharaj, 10 Anrich Nortje and 11 Lungi Ngidi.
England
It seems England can’t wait to have this series over and done with, but there have still been some positives. Harry Brook continued his excellent year of cricket scoring an 80 last game, while Jos Buttler proved he’s still a game changer. They will be eager to capitalise on strong starts however, and will feel like they’ve closed out the past two ODIs poorly.
England predicted XI: 1 Jason Roy, 2 Dawid Malan, 3 Ben Duckett, 4 Harry Brook, 5 Jos Buttler (captain and wicketkeeper), 6 Moeen Ali, 7 Sam Curran, 8 David Willey, 9 Jofra Archer or Reece Topley, 10 Adil Rashid, 11 Chris Woakes or Olly Stone.
South Africa vs England Head to Head
South Africa hold the upper hand in the head to head between the two sides, leading 33-29. They also claimed the most recent meeting on Sunday, winning by five wickets.
