Torino vs Cremonese Free Picks and Predictions
Like many other contenders in Serie A, Torino and Cremonese chose to stay local in this friendly match.
Under 2.5 Goals
Both teams have the same amount of games with more than two goals scored, seven out of 15 played, which is in the lower part of the rankings. Even though this is a friendly game, these two teams rarely play matches with many goals.
Both Teams to Score – No
In three out of their past five encounters, at least one team didn’t score a goal. Torino played two friendly matches against Espanyol and Almeria, the latter ended with a 1-1 score, the other with a Torino win by the score of 1-0.
Torino to Win
Cremonese is one of the worst teams in all of the top leagues in Europe, and even though this is a friendly match, Torino will look to build some confidence before the season restarts.
Torino vs Cremonese Preview: Bolstering attacking options
Torino
Torino’s principle is to build a strong defensive foundation and try to counter teams that like to play open football. Their goal difference this season speaks the truth, it’s positioned at 16-17. However, they did finish the first part of the season in good fashion with three wins in five matches. Ivan Juric is well respected as the coach, he argued at the start of the season with the management because he didn’t get all the players he wanted. There are a lot of teams out there who are looking at his situation in Torino. He did a great job with this team considering all the obstacles he had to go through to build something positive. Nikola Vlasic was his biggest signing from West Ham as a loanee, and he is the team’s top scorer with four goals. Juric wants another player at the forward position because they lack a clear-cut striker.
Cremonese
If you look very hard at all the top leagues in Europe, Cremonese might be the worst team out of all of them. They are the only team in Serie A this season that is without a win in 15 matches. But, strangely they are not the worst team in the league because they have accumulated seven points by playing all these draw games. However, that won’t bring them any permanent joy because there are teams above them who win games, not many, but enough to have a good chance of staying in the league. Cremonese’s first game at the continuation of the season will be against Juventus, so there isn’t much hope things will get better soon. It is interesting to notice how Cremonese chose their opponents in the first two friendly matches, they played amateur teams and beat them by a significant margin.
