Rennes vs Celtic Odds, Bets, and Predictions

Both of these teams have done well in their domestic championships and will look to add some encouragement for the remainder of the season.

Both Teams to Score – Yes

Rennes is missing several important players who are on international duty, there are also some injury concerns. Celtic won’t risk the health of their main players as their season will continue soon, but they are also without some players who are at the World Cup in Qatar.

Over 2.5 Goals

Rennes has been terrific with some fantastic goalscoring games, and they are one of the best ‘over’ teams in France. The same goes for Celtic who mostly scores goals in their league as they are superior to virtually every opponent next to Rangers.

Draw

As Rennes is missing some big-time players like Lovro Majer and Jeremy Doku, there will be a mixed squad. Players who don’t feature often will get plenty of chances to shine, just like with the Celtic team.

Rennes vs Celtics Preview: A Spanish holiday

Rennes

The game will be played in Spain where both teams are preparing for the remainder of the season. Rennes’ season could hardly be any better, they are third in Ligue 1, and also made good progress in the Europa League. They are playing with flare, the type of exciting football fans want to see. Coach Bruno Genesio has done a fine job balancing his squad, even when there are injuries, he manages to find the right players to get the job done. Ligue 1 season restarts at the end of the month and it will be tricky when some of the players return from the World Cup, they will get some additional time to rest before they rejoin the team. It will be interesting to see how the remaining Rennes players will look in the attacking formation, this is a team that has the second-best attack in the French top division. The only better team is, of course, PSG.

Celtic

The Scottish champions were disappointed with their Champions League campaign. They failed to win a single game in a group with Real Madrid, RB Leipzig, and Shakhtar Donetsk, even failing to get the third place that would secure a chance to play in the Europa League knockout stages. But, as far as their domestic campaign is concerned, they are doing their job properly. Celtic has a nine-point lead in front of their main rival Rangers, and now they don’t have to worry about the European competitions anymore, they will have all the time in the world to focus on the Scottish Premiership. Their league season couldn’t be any better, they won 14 out of their 15 matches, losing only once. They have scored 50 goals, and no other team comes even close to that number.
