Spartak Trnava are set to host their first-ever Europa Conference League group stage match on Thursday when they welcome Fernerbache to Slovakia. The home side endured a heavy defeat to Ludogorets on matchday one so will be looking to bounce back here, while Fenerbahce enjoyed a win against Nordsjaelland. Ahead of the clash, we’ve put together some free tips and predictions.

Fenerbahce to win
Fenerbahce have had a great start to the season and have recorded seven wins in seven games in the Turkish Super Lig to leave themselves on maximum points. What’s more, they have also won all of their Europa Conference League qualification games this season to make it this far and also won their opening group match. Are Spartak Trnava good enough to stop this winning machine? We don’t think so.
BTTS – No
While Fenerbahce can’t stop scoring at the moment, Spartak Trnava aren’t having the same joy. The Slovakian outfit are currently languishing in mid-table in their domestic division and they suffered a severe 4-0 loss to Ludogorets in their opening Conference League match. If they couldn’t score a goal against Ludogorets then it is unlikely that they will find the back of the net against a rock solid Fenerbahce team.
Over 0.5 first half goals
Both of these teams like to attack and very rarely are their games goalless at half time. Six of Fenerbahce’s last eight games have all seen at least one goal in the first half while the same can be said of four of Spartak’s last six. Considering the gulf in class here, too, Fenerbahce should have more than enough to get on the scoresheet in the opening 45 minutes.
Spartak Trnava finished 3rd in the Slovakian top flight last season and have done well to reach the group stage of the Conference League via qualification when you look at how patchy their domestic form has been. If they are to somehow pull of a result on Thursday night, then they are going to need a big performance from goalkeeper, Takac.
Fenerbahce
Fenerbahce are looking better than they have done in many a year and if their early-season form is anything to go by then they may well end their ten-year Super Lig drought this season. Their away form in Europe isn’t exactly anything to write home about but something is a little different about them this season and they will fancy the job here.
Spark Tranava and Fenerbahce have played each other twice before in the Europa League back in 2018. Both teams won their respective home legs which will give Spartak hope going into Thursday.
