WTA Wimbledon 2023 Predictions – Women’s Event Betting Tips of the Day

We’ve witnessed two weeks of exciting tennis fixtures, with some major upsets and a few one-sided contests. That said, we are nearing the conclusion of the Wimbledon Championships. This is the third of four grand slams in 2023, and the only one on grass courts. It’s also worth mentioning that Wimbledon will close out the grass court swing. That said, 128 players made it to the main draw, and there are just two left standing. Which of these players will claim the Venus Rosewater Dish when it’s all said and done?

Wimbledon 2023 Predictions – Outright Winner

We would like to point out that the most successful player in the history of this tournament is Martina Navratilova, who has nine Wimbledon titles to her name. However, the most successful active player is Venus Williams, with five championships. As a matter of fact, only two active players have won this title more than once, and they both featured in this year’s event. Also, there have been six different champions in the last six editions of the Wimbledon Championships, and none of the last five champions won it more than once. Given that none of our finalists have won this competition in the past, that trend is set to continue.

That said, although our finalists have never won this tournament, or any grand slam title for that matter, this isn’t either player’s first rodeo at a grand slam final. On one hand, Marketa Vondrousova reached the French Open final four years ago, when she was just 19. Likewise, this will be Ons Jabeur’s third appearance in a grand slam final in the last 13 months; she advanced to the Wimbledon and US Open finals last year, losing both.

To be fair, Marketa Vondrousova has taken out some tough opponents in this competition, including Jessica Pegula, Elina Svitolina and Donna Vekic. However, we’ve been more impressed by Ons Jabeur’s performances here at Wimbledon. The Tunisian player defeated World number 2 Aryna Sabalenka, defending Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina and two-time champion Petra Kvitova in the previous three rounds. As a matter of fact, she has faced four former grand slam champions in the last four rounds. It’s also important to note that the only other time these players met on grass, Ons Jabeur came out on top in straight sets. Taking everything into account, we believe she’ll go home with the Venus Rosewater Dish.

Marketa Vondrousova vs Ons Jabeur Head to Head

This will be the seventh encounter between these players. It may interest you to know that their head-to-head record is currently tied at three wins apiece. However, we would like to point out that while Vondrousova won every time these players met on hard courts, she lost all their encounters on other surfaces. Additionally, Marketa Vondrousova and Ons Jabeur met just once on grass; at the Eastbourne International two years ago, where Jabeur won in straight sets.
