The WTA China Open will take place from September 30 to October 8 in Beijing, China. The Belarussian is 50-11 for the season and 30-6 on hard surface. In the opening round of the China Open, she will face Sofia Kenin.
3. Coco Gauff 5/1 (6.00)
Gauff is on top of the tennis world after winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open. The 19-year-old has reached the highest ranking of her career, being No. 3 in the world. Besides winning in New York, the American also won in Washington, Cincinnati and Auckland. She is 45-13 for the season and 33-6 on hard surface. In the opening round of the China Open, Gauff will face Ekaterina Alexandrova.
4. Jessica Pegula 9/1 (10.00)
Pegula is ranked fourth in the world and has won one title this season, in Montreal. Besides that, she made it to the finals in Doha and the semifinals in Washington, Charleston, Miami and Dubai. The American is 48-15 for the season and 32-9 on hard surface. She will start her journey at the China Open, against the winner of the match between Donna Vekic and Anna Blinkova.

After more than four years, Sakkari finally won her first title in Guadalajara. That was her first final win of the season after losing the previous one in Washington and also losing five semifinals. The win in Mexico took a lot of pressure off her back and now the world No. 6 will have another chance to shine in Beijing. Sakkari is 36-19 for the season and 24-11 on hard surface. Her first match in Beijing will be against the winner between Linda Fruhvirtova and Arantxa Rus.
6. Elena Rybakina 13/1 (14.00)
Rybakina is back among the top 5 players in the world after a while and will make her first appearance at the China Open. The player from Kazakhstan is 42-12 for the season and 26-8 on hard surface. She won the titles in Indian Wells and Rome this season and lost in the finals at the Australian Open and Miami. In the opening round of the China Open, Rybakina will play against Qinwen Zheng.
7. Marketa Vondrousova 16/1 (17.00)
The defending Wimbledon champion is 8th in the rankings, two spots lower than her career high. The player from the Czech Republic is 40-13 for the season and 19-8 on hard surface. She reached the quarterfinals at the last two tournaments in Cincinnati and at the US Open. In the opening round of the China Open, she will face Anhelina Kalinina.

Kudermetova is currently 19th in the WTA rankings and her career high has been No.9 in the world. The 26-year-old has not won a title since 2021 but is having a good season with a 30-19 record and 15-12 on hard surface. In Tokyo last week, she defeated World No. 2, Iga Swiatek. Last year at the China Open, Kudermetova reached the semifinal losing to Qinwen Zheng. Her first match in Beijing will be against the winner between Lin Zhu and Ludmila Tsurenko.
