Serbia to win 2-1
The two sides last met in a best-of-five encounter 10 years ago. On that occasion, Novak Djokovic faced Radek Stepanek and Tomas Berdych in two singles sets. The Serbian player won both matches, but his partner Tomas Berdych lost two, and the Czech Republic won the doubles match.
Djokovic and Lajovic are the only players from the previous match who will be present in this edition. Serbia vs. Spain was one of the most anticipated matches of day two. Although the absence of Carlos Alcaraz diminished the excitement in this match, it was nonetheless noteworthy due to Novak Djokovic’s debut in this group round.

Czech Republic preview
The team had several difficulties against the South Korean team, but they eventually won three games. In match 1, Tomas Machac defeated Seongchan Hong 7-6 4-6 6-2; he might have lost if he hadn’t won the tiebreak in the opening set.
