Sebastian Korda vs Borna Coric – match predictions

Both players are coming off early exits in Toronto and are hoping to have a much more successful week in Cincinnati.

Borna Coric to win

Borna Coric definitely knows how to win in Cincinnati since he won the title last week. Given the odds, he is considered a major underdog in this match even though there are not obvious reasons for that. Korda is still trying to get to his full form from the start of the season after missing some time with an injury. Coric won their recent exhibition match and has reached the semis in Los Cabos, so we go with the defending champion in this one.

First set over 9.5 games

Both players have decent serves and are experienced enough to hold their serves at the beginning of the match. They both see this as a must win match in order to prepare for the US Open so it will be a tough start with the first set going over 9.5 games in total.
