Rybakina vs Sabalenka – Match Predictions

The stage is set to see who will be the champion of the 2023 women’s Australian Open. Elena Rybakina earned her spot by taking down the two-time champion in the semi-finals on Thursday. And following that match, Sabalenka took down Linette in an entertaining clash out there on Rod Laver Arena. Because of these results, we now have the 5th seed, Sabalenka going up against the 22nd seed, Elena Rybakia.

There’s obviously going to be plenty of drama and intensity in this final. But there can only be one winner at the end of the day, and I believe that winner will be Aryna Sabalenka. On that note, let me explain the two tennis predictions today that I’ve given for this Grand Slam final:

Sabalenka to Win

Although Rybakina has been playing sensational tennis in this tournament, I still feel that Sabalenka has the edge. I say this for two reasons. She hasn’t lost a set in the entire tournament for starters. And complementing that, Sabalenka has beaten Rybakina in all three of their previous meetings.

Over 21.5 Games

Although I’ve stated that Sabalenka will win the game, in my opinion, I certainly don’t think that it will be easy. In fact, I think it will be an absolute battle, especially with the firepower that Rybakina possesses. Furthermore, all of their three matches have been three sets, even if Sabalenka has pulled through in all of them.

Rybakina vs Sabalenka Preview

If you’d like further details as to why I’ve selected these markets, be sure to check out the previews for these two finalists here.

Elena Rybakina Preview

Elena Rybakina is one of the most dangerous players on tour these days. The power she is able to generate on both wings is insane. And at just 23 years of age, she is already a Grand Slam winner – achieved at Wimbledon in 2022. Rybakina is currently ranked 25 in the world, and in this event, she did beat the number 1 in the world, Iga Swiatek.

Aryna Sabalenka Preview

Aryna Sabalenka is an established top-10 player. She’s actually number 5 in the world at the minute, and her form has been very consistent. However, recently it seems that she’s found an extra level to her game. She hasn’t even lost a set in this year’s Australian Open. In fact, she didn’t lose a set when she won the Adelaide International before this event either.

Rybakina vs Sabalenka Head to Head

Rybakina won’t like to look at the head-to-head statistics before competing in this match. Sabalenka has a 3-0 lead over Rybakina. Although interestingly, every game has gone three sets, and Sabalenka has won the first set in all of them.
