Cristina Bucsa
Ranked 90th in the world, the 25 year old Spaniard reached her career high ranking of 86 at the end of January earlier this year. She had never got beyond the first round of a Grand Slam before reaching the second round at the US Open in 2022 and then going one round further in Melbourne this year but could only win one game in a straight sets defeat to Iga Swiatek.
