It’s pretty crazy that both of these players are ranked outside of the top 400 in the WTA rankings. Then again, they’ve both been at the top of the game in the past, hence the wildcard and protected ranking that enabled them to get into the main draw. Anyway, with both of these players on the comeback, what are the most appropriate WTA US Open 2023 predictions to follow for this contest? I’ve listed two right here.
Wozniacki to win @ 4/5 (1.80)
Based on the way that Wozniacki has performed in the opening two rounds, I feel that she will overcome Jennifer Brady and reach the 4th round. Specifically, I was most impressed with the way that she took out the 11th seed, Kvitova, in straight sets in the last round. This shows that she is playing well and confident.
Wozniacki -1.5 games handicap @ 5/4 (2.25)
With the women’s singles matches being the best of three sets, it’s very possible for Wozniacki to score a -1.5 games handicap against Brady – assuming she wins the match, of course. This would require Wozniacki to win by a margin of 2 games or more, which she has done in both of the previous rounds.

Furthermore, she has made the finals of the US Open twice in the past, and she’s fallen at the semi-finals stage on three occasions. While yes, these results were a while back, they show that she loves competing in New York.
Jennifer Brady preview
Jennifer Brady is competing under a protected ranking at the 2023 US Open. Yet she has won both of her opening matches to make the third round. However, her performances and subsequent wins haven’t been quite as convincing or as impressive as Wozniacki’s. So for me, she’s not playing quite as well as Wozniacki, although Brady has made the semi-finals of this event in 2020. Therefore, she can play great tennis in New York too.
