Our favourite Australia vs Great Britain match predictions

Both teams are among the most successful in the Davis Cup history and their matchup is really tough to predict. The prediction for this duel and the rest of the tennis schedule, check out on our predictions and tips page.
Great Britain to win 2-1
This will be a matchup between two Davis Cup power houses. It’s been a while since any of them won the trophy and both teams are ready for a bar fight. Australia lost in the finals last year and it seems like they are favourites because of that but with the matchup being in Manchester, Great Britain will have the home court advantage which can really make a difference in the Davis Cup.
In the absence of Nick Kyrgios, Alex de Minaur is the best player on the Australian team and Cameron Norrie is the main man for Great Britain. It will be interesting to see if the home team captain Leon Smith will decide to go with Andy Murray in the single matches. The former world No. 1 had a solid performance at the US Open and he seems ready to go if needed.
There is a huge possibility that this matchup will be decided in the doubles match and it seems that Great Britain has the advantage in that one which will probably get them to the first win in Group B.
