Alex de Minaur vs Diego Schwartzman Prediction and Odds: Queen’s Club Championships 2023

After defeating the five-time Queen’s Club Championship winner Andy Murray, Alex de Minaur is a major favorite in the round of 16 match against Diego Schwartzman.

These odds from Ladbrokes were correct at the time of writing.

Alex de Minaur vs Diego Schwartzman – Match Predictions

Alex de Minaur is a dark-horse candidate to go deep in Queen’s Club Championships and Diego Schwartzman will probably be unable to do anything about that.

Alex de Minaur 2-0

De Minaur is playing really well on grass and he is probably someone who can defeat anybody this week at the Queen’s Club Championships. Schwartzman played well in the opening round but it is hard to believe that he will transfer that play to the second round. De Minaur serves better and moves excellent on the grass court and will have no problem winning this one in straight sets.

First set under 9.5 games

De Minaur will probably dominate this match and will set the tone early on. Schwartzman is not the type of player who can depend on his serve and he will not get the advantage that usually the players who are serving on grass get. De Minaur will take advantage of that and will win the opener pretty quickly.

Alex de Minaur vs Diego Schwartzman Preview

Schwartzman is a great fighter on the court but his game is not on the level that used to be, so De Minaur is going into this match as a huge favorite.

Alex de Minaur

De Minaur is the highest ranked Australian player at the moment sitting in 18th place in the ATP rankings, three spots lower than his career high. The 24-year-old is 19-13 for the season including 2-1 on grass. In the opening round of the Queen’s Club Championships, De Minaur defeated the five-time winner and former world No. 1, Andy Murray, by 6-3, 6-1. Diego Schwartzman

Schwartzman is not even close to his best form as he has fallen out of the top 100 players in the world. The former world No. 8 is currently 107th in the ATP rankings. The Argentinian has a 8-17 record for the year including 1-0 on grass. In the opening round of the Queen’s Club Championships, Schwartzman defeated Mackenzie McDonald, 6-2, 6-4. Schwartzman’s best result this season was the third round at the Roland Garros where he lost to Stefanos Tsitsipas and that was actually the first time this season for him to play more than two matches on a tournament.
