The 2023 U.S. Open should provide plenty of fireworks during Sunday’s final round with Rickie Fowler and Wyndham Clark sharing the lead at 10-under. Both players are in search of their first major.
World No. 3 Rory McIlroy (9-under) trails by just one stroke and is on a quest for his fifth major. The Northern Irishman hasn’t tasted victory at a major since the 2014 PGA Championship at Valhalla.
The top-ranked player, Scottie Scheffler, is three back at 7-under par. Scheffler holed out from the fairway for an eagle on hole 17 and followed it up with a 22-footer for birdie on 18 to climb into contention.
