When it comes to the signature groups in the US Open Golf Schedule, these are the six groups you should follow in the first round.

7:18 a.m. – Collin Morikawa, James Piot, Jon Rahm

All eyes will be on the defending champion Jon Rahm who tees it up alongside the best iron player on the planet, Collin Morikawa, and last year’s US Amateur winner, James Piot.

7:40 a.m. – Rory McIlroy, Hideki Matsuyama, Xander Schauffele

After his stunning victory in the RBC Canadian Open, Rory McIlroy is the favourite to seal his first Major in eight years. His group is a tasty one alongside former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama and Olympic gold medallist Xander Schauffele.

1:14 p.m. – Justin Thomas, Viktor Hovland, Tony Finau

Justin Thomas was the latest golfer to win a Major in the PGA Championship so will be looking to add to his trophy cabinet this week when he plays with two terrific golfers who are determined to secure their first Major title.

World Number One Scottie Scheffler will play alongside the amazing Australian Cameron Smith and the man who loves producing his best golf in Majors, Brooks Koepka.

Matt Fitzpatrick is one of the most-in form players on Tour chasing a maiden Major victory. He will be joined on the tee by LIV Golf Series’ multiple Major winner Dustin Johnson and Webb Simpson.

TV coverage for the 2022 US Open will be provided by NBC and USA. USA will handle early-round coverage on Thursday, Friday and Sunday whilst NBC takes over the broadcasts in the afternoon all four days, with exclusive TV coverage of Saturday’s third round.
