Round three highlights
This section will showcase the best moments from Saturday’s third round.
Todd finds himself as the solo leader
The 37-year-old enjoyed a 5-under round after starting his day hot with an eagle on the second hole. Todd went on to sink three more birdies on the back nine and enjoyed a bogey-free 66.
The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native is trying to win for the first time since 2019 and has collected three PGA Tour victories.
Todd’s opened the first two days with 66 and 65 and hasn’t contended in a tournament since finishing tied for eighth at the Wells Fargo Championship in early May.

McCarthy and Schenk search for first win
Denny McCarthy and Adam Schenk have come close many times to their first tour wins and have a chance tomorrow. McCarthy lost to Viktor Hovland in a playoff at the Memorial in June, and Schenk fell to Emiliano Grillo via a playoff at the Charles Schwab Challenge in May.
The Tacoma Park, Maryland native, McCarthy, entered the week as the favorite at 14-1 and put together a 5-under round of 66 on Saturday. Friday is where the 30-year-old shot up the leaderboard. After his first 28 holes, it appeared he wouldn’t contend, but a blistering seven birdies in eight holes on the home stretch gives him a chance at a victory.
Schenk hadn’t made a bogey all week until he recorded a four on the par 3 12th hole at TPC Deere Run in the third round. Scores of 65, 66 and 67 have him at one stroke behind the leader, tied with McCarthy. The Purdue product, Schenk, owns two second-place finishes since March.

Cameron Young stumbles to sixth
The 36-hole leader endured an up-and-down day as he opened his front nine with a 1-over 36. Young sunk three birdies on the back and climbed the leaderboard before double-bogeying the 18th to finish with an even par round of 71.
The top-ranked player in the field is now three shots back and will try to go low and collect his first trophy on tour. It’s been a struggle for the highly touted player the past couple of months, having earned just one finish better than 51st over his last seven starts.
Peter’s Kuest for victory
Peter Kuest is in contention for a second-straight week after posting a 6-under par bogey-free round on Saturday, which moved him to 14-under in a tie for fifth. The 25-year-old Monday qualified a week ago for the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and a tie for fourth earned him a berth at the John Deere Classic.
The non-PGA Tour member is playing with his late father on his mind and can earn status into more events should he collect another high finish.
