F1 Azerbaijan Top Betting Predictions
Contents
Ferrari showed some improved pace this weekend, with Charles Leclerc taking a shock pole – his third consecutive in Azerbaijan. But despite Ferrari’s sudden surge, Red Bull remains the favorite to capture the win.
Red Bull Double Podium Finish
This one can very well be a 1-2 finish too. Red Bull doesn’t seem to be under any serious threat from Carlos Sainz, while Aston Martin hasn’t really shown much promise in Baku. Barring something unexpected, like a mechanical failure or a crash, the Austrian team looks to be well on its way to another double podium this weekend. The odds are also very generous for what should be considered a safe bet.
McLaren Double Points Finish
Looks like McLaren’s turnaround in form in Melbourne wasn’t just a one-off. The British team continued to improve in Baku, as both Norris and Piastri made it to Q3. Norris qualified a respectable seventh, just over two tenths down on fourth place Carlos Sainz. Piastri chose not to set a lap in Q3, but his Q2 lap was just over 0.150s down on his more experienced teammate.
McLaren has some real pace in its MCL60, as the team has seemingly finally wrapped its head around the new regulations. With positive momentum from its result in Melbourne, the Woking-based squad has every chance to pull off a repeat in Baku and score back-to-back double points finishes, further consolidating its spot as the best of the mid-field teams.
F1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Weather Conditions
The weather forecast for the weekend lists a low chance of rain, and only in the afternoon, which means that the race will be held under dry conditions. Temeprature will be in the low to mid 20°C range, with cloudy skies, making the conditions as close to ideal as possible. Drivers haven’t been complaining about tyre heat issues, and excessive wear won’t be a problem either. Overall, the weather won’t be much of a factor in this weekend’s Grand Prix.
Qualifying Results
Charles Leclerc will start on pole, followed by Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. Carlos Sainz and Lewis Hamilton completed the top 5, with Fernando Alonso, Lando Norris, Yuki Tsunoda, Lance Stroll and Oscar Piastri completing the top 10.
