The Best Rugby Predictions Today

Leicester Tigers vs Edinburgh Prediction: Leicester Tigers to Win

We begin with European Champions Cup action as Leicester Tigers host Edinburgh at Welford Road on Friday evening. Edinburgh are a strong outfit but very few teams in any competition emerge with anything to show from a trip to Leicester. We are backing the hosts to run out as easy winners in this match.

Odds: Leicester Tigers To Win @4/11 (1.36)

Bristol vs Clermont Prediction: Bristol to Win

Bristol, in seventh place in Premiership Rugby, take on Clermont, the tenth placed side in the Top 14, on Friday night in the west of England in the European Challenge Cup. The home side come into this match in much stronger form, although their winning run was ended by Leicester Tigers last weekend. Clermont have lost three of their last six and we do not anticipate them returning home over the channel with a positive result.

Odds: Bristol To Win @8/15 (1.53)

Scarlets vs Brive Prediction: Scarlet to Win with 25.0 points handicap

We stick with the European Challenge Cup for our third and final tip of Friday with another French team, Brive, travelling to Britain. Bottom of the Top 14, Brive will make their way to Llanelli in Wales where they will come up against Scarlets who are struggling in 13th place in the United Rugby Championship. However, Scarlets have a much stronger side and will be roared on by a passionate home support. We expect to see Scarlets win the match easily and will a points cushion of at least 25 points.

Odds: Scarlet to Win with 25.0 points handicap @10/11 (1.91)

Our Rugby Predictions – What We Cover

When there’s rugby being played, here at Pundit Feed, we will always be covering it and bringing to you tips and predictions ahead of the action. Of course our work ramps up during the Six Nations and will do so later this year in the 2023 Rugby Union World Cup, but we have a depth of knowledge and we will bring you previews of games from across the globe. It’s not just rugby union, we will also be supplying rugby league betting tips so no need to look elsewhere!

Tournaments Covered

From the Six Nations and the World Cup, through to domestic league and cup competitions, we will provide an overview of the tournaments and individual games on this page. Rugby Union fans are equally passionate about some of the big international competitions as well as their local rugby clubs fortunes and we will keep an eye on it all for you.

Rugby World Cup

When a tournament is so special that it only occurs every four years, then it is certainly on our list! The last Rugby World Cup took place in Japan in 2019 with the next edition scheduled for early Autumn in France in 2023. South Africa, who beat England in the final in 2019, will be back to defend their title from 8th September onwards.

Six Nations

Everyones favourite annual international rugby union competition, which brings England, France, Ireland, Italy, Scotland and Wales together, is a must-watch event. Covering that awkward period from February to March, when the weather is still cold and wet, our Six Nations coverage will be second to none from the first kick to the last try of the tournament.

The European Rugby Champions Cup

With the Six Nations the predominant international competition in Europe every year, the European Rugby Champions Cup is the main event in club rugby. Culminating in a final at some top European city every year, this tournament is always worth following whether you are the biggest rugby fan in the world or just taking your first steps in the game.

Domestic Leagues

From New Zealand to Australia, England to France and South Africa to Argentina, there are some exceptional rugby teams playing. Club rugby is where all of the top international players begin and where they play on a regular basis. However, even when they are not involved in these competitions, we will still bring you detailed previews and predictions.

Betting Markets

Sometimes you need to do more than just scratch the surface of a fixture to find the best markets to back in a rugby game. Don’t worry, we will do that for you. If there’s an obvious winner at a good price then we will point this out to you, but equally if there is a team who have been scoring tries for fun in previous games then we will flag up the tries in a game market. We cover the following and many others!

Number of points

A team may be on a losing run but actually be playing good rugby and very nearly getting draws and wins. In those cases, do not be surprised if we recommend backing a team who are nearer the bottom of the table to score over a certain number of points in a game.

Number of tries

The best teams are able to flip how they play from an attacking to a defensive outlook sometimes even within a half. Equally, others can change from one game to a next. However, most sides and most coaches have a blueprint for how they play and we will often pick out the entertaining sides and back them to score a certain number of tries.

Rugby Betting Tips – How We Create Them

Finally, let’s lift the lid on how we come up with our rugby predictions. We use plenty of approaches with a couple below.

Form

We have all enjoyed the ups and downs of our teams across all sports and rugby is no different with sides going on long winning runs and losing runs. If you fail to consider the form then you are shooting yourself in the foot!

Up-Coming Fixtures

Nowadays, the top coaches are always looking two or three games ahead. That’s not to say that they won’t be focusing on the next game in front of them, but we will always consider this when recommending a particular market.
