Wimbledon betting tips: Best betting predictions for Day Two

Wimbledon betting tips: Best betting predictions for Day Two

There are plenty of games today where we might see some upsets. And as promised, I have listed my Wimbledon betting tips for several matches right here. Looking at the lineup, I believe that there are three matches that have great odds for the predicted winner. These are all provided below:

Sousa vs Gasquet – Gasquet @ 1.50 odds

This is a pretty interesting matchup between Joao Sousa and Richard Gasquet. Of course, Gasquet is a veteran of the tour these days. But his grass-court game can still be dangerous, especially with his legendary backhand. As for Sousa, he’s not always been great on grass. So the fact that the bookies are offering odds of 1.50 makes this very tasty indeed to shoot for a Gasquet win.

Daniel vs Baez – Baez @ 1.90 odds

In this game, we have two guys that aren’t fantastic grass-court players. But then again, that’s what makes it an interesting one to watch and to bet on. Baez has also been making a name for himself in recent years, mainly on the clay courts. However, he is a battler, with a big forehand when he chooses to unload. And I truly believe that he has what it takes to beat Daniel today. However, I can’t pretend that Daniel isn’t a threat.

He has beaten some top guys himself, including the legendary Andy Murray!

Cornet vs Putintseva – Cornet @ 1.72 odds

Finally, I’ve picked a ladies’ match between Cornet and Putintseva. Cornet is another French veteran, and she is adored by fans all over the world. In contrast, Putintseva is five years younger, with a less decorated career, you might say. And I am shooting for Cornet because she also had a great run in Germany last week on the grass. She ultimately lost in the semi-finals, but she showed great skills on the grass, which I believe will pull her through this one.

Wimbledon betting tips: Best betting predictions for Day one

Day one, as well as day two, are the best days for betting at the championships. These days have the most matches to choose from the entire two weeks. So of course, there is a sea of Wimbledon betting tips out there at the moment. And I’ve provided three tips for day one right here:

Rosol vs Basilashvili – Rosol @ 3.5 odds

Rosol has come through qualifying to reach the main draw, whereas Bashilashvili has got straight through. I feel that this experience that Rosol has had so far will help him to bag a win here. And let’s not forget, he is the man that beat Nadal on Centre Court all those years ago.

Millman vs Kecmanovic – Kecmanovic @ 1.44 odds

I’ve tracked both of these guys in recent times. And to be honest, this one should be a tasty affair. With that said, I do feel that Kecmanovic will be too solid for John Millman when it comes to grass-court tennis. At 1.44 odds, this is certainly great value for a Kecmanovic win.

Collins vs Bouzkova – Collins @ 1.66 odds

Lastly, Collins vs Bouzkova will also be an interesting game to watch. Collins hasn’t actually played since the French Open more than one month ago. And for Bouzkova, she has played just one grass-court event at Eastbourne. So with Collins being a top 10 player going up against Bouzkova who isn’t in great form, I have to go with Collins here.

Wimbledon betting tips: Best betting predictions for Day X

Given that Wimbledon is the third Grand Slam of the year, it goes without saying that punters are fairly pumped to get some wagers placed. Of course, Grand Slams are home to the most matches of all tournaments on tour. That’s because the draws are the largest with 128 for both women’s and men’s singles. But before all of the action begins on Monday, June 27th, we wanted to provide some Wimbledon betting tips. These are done according to the current outright markets at regulated bookmakers in the UK.

At the same time, we plan to be producing further tips according to each day of play for the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. So make sure that you stay tuned to this page to grab some great tips each and every day. But coming back to what we can produce at the moment in time, below you will find Wimbledon betting tips for both the men’s and women’s events. These tips have sprung up based on player form, odds, and how they each perform on grass.

So please, read on and follow through on these tips whenever you get the chance.

Outright Wimbledon Betting Tips for the 2022 Championships

Given that the tournament hasn’t kicked off yet, the fixed odds relating to the outright markets are fairly stable. However, once the first few rounds have been played, these odds will inevitably shift to some degree. But for now, we can serve up some tips based on the pre-tournament markets, so here they are:

Wimbledon Betting Tips for the Men

The men’s event is going to be a classic, as always. And things are all the spicier given that the GOAT race has taken a significant twist this year. Nadal has progressed to 22 slam titles, whereas Djokovic is stuck on 20. Grass, and indeed Wimbledon, is where Novak Djokovic tends to excel above Nadal, however. Then again, he still needs to get the job done. And at the same time, many other guys are bidding to snatch the title from these legends too.

Taking all of this into account, check out our tips for Wimbledon right here:

Our Pick – Novak Djokovic

Of all the guys due to compete this year, we are sticking with Novak Djokovic for the title. The man has been a machine at the All England Club in recent times, winning the tournament the last three times – since it wasn’t held in 2021! However, despite his six Wimbledon titles, he has never won the event four times running. Could this be a first? We certainly think so.

Rafael Nadal

Nadal has enjoyed pretty much his best season of all time in terms of winning titles. He started the season in unreal fashion, winning the Australian Open and posting a streak of 20 matches in a row. And as it happens, this is the first time in his career that he has won the opening two Grand Slams. So naturally, he is one of the red hot favourites to win at Wimbledon.

Matteo Berrettini

Outside of the top two, our main contender has to be Berrettini. Despite being injured in recent months, he has returned with a bang. With back-to-back grass-court tournament wins, he is obviously in great form. And since he made the final in 2011, he is one of the top Wimbledon betting tips for the moment.

Wimbledon Betting Tips for the Women

The women’s championships will also be a great event this year, with many interesting things going on. Swiatek is enjoying a sensational streak, Serena Williams is returning, and Raducanu is taking centre stage, where her short but unbelievable career began. So of course, we have some prime Wimbledon betting tips for this one for you:

Our pick – Iga Swiatek

It’s incredibly difficult to bet against Swiatek at Wimbledon. Grass might not be her favourite surface, but the 35-match win streak speaks for itself. She is still a huge hitter too, which is fantastic to have for the grass.

Simona Halep

Being a previous Wimbledon champion, Simona Halep had to come through as another pick. She hasn’t had an unreal season by her standards, but she has been playing well over the last two weeks on the grass.

Coco Gauff

Last but not least, Coco Gauff is another strong contender to take the win. In 2019, she broke through at Wimbledon, beating Venus Williams en route to the 4th round. And much like Swiatek, she is a huge striker of the ball.
