She has been very solid in the previous three rounds losing only one set in the third round against Xiyu Wang. In the first two matches he won in straight sets against Alize Cornet and Anna Bondar. Zhang’s best result this season was reaching the semifinals in Abu Dhabi where she lost to Ludmilla Samsonova.
