US Open juniors 2023: Contenders, odds, and predictions

From September 3 to 9, the category’s youngest players will compete to amaze in one of the most prestigious events. Many of the world’s finest tennis players had their debuts in this competition, so it will be interesting to observe how they improve and progress.

US Open Juniors order of play

Both the men’s and women’s US Open Junior finals will be unique in this year. None of the winners or high seeds was among the finalist group.

Due to the wildcard she was given, even Katherine Hui, one of the finalists, is taking part in the competition. Only a few hours remain before one of the finalists at the US Open Juniors 2023 makes history.

Men’s seeds

1. Yaroslav Demin

The number one junior player in the world recently reached the Wimbledon final, but was unable to complete the Junior Grand Slam. He will now strive to improve on his performance at the last US Open 2023, where he reached the third round.

2. Rodrigo Pacheco Mendez

The Mexican tennis player has not fared well at the Grand Slams, with his best results coming in Australia and France, when he reached the quarterfinals. He was even more disappointing in New York, having been knocked out in the first round of the previous US Open juniors.

Women’s seeds

1. Renata Jamrichova

Renata, who is only 16 years old, is rated third in the world, and with the number one and two seeds absent, Jarimchova will be the top seed in New York. She reached the semifinals at Wimbledon, but will want to improve her performance at the US Open Juniors 2023 after being knocked out in the first round the previous year.

2. Luciana Perez Alarcon

The 18-year-old will be one of the favorites in New York, with hopes of reaching the grand final, as she did at Roland Garros. She is currently rated fourth in the Junior rankings and will be seeded second in the US Open Juniors in 2023.
