The final of the 2024 BMW Open has arrived, and there’s home interest in the form of Jan-Lennard Struff. He faces Taylor Fritz today in what should be a great clay court battle. Of course, this also means I have some tennis predictions today – locked and loaded for you to read through below.

Our favourite Taylor Fritz vs Jan-Lennard Struff predictions

As the 3rd and 2nd seeds, respectively, neither of these men were expected to be in the finals of the BMW Open – on paper. But as it stands, Fritz has made it through with the loss of just one set, and Struff has made it through without losing any set! This means both guys are in form, confident, and ready to shoot for the title.

However, only one can make it, which leads me to the following predictions:

Struff to win @ 1/1 (2.00)

When all is said and done, I think that Struff will steal this one from Fritz. He’s been playing great tennis all week long, and his emphatic 6-2 6-0 victory over Holger Rune yesterday was rather stunning. Additionally, he’s got home support to give him an added boost as he chases the title.

Struff +2.5 games handicap @ 8/13 (1.62)

First and foremost, you’ve seen that I think Struff will win this match. So naturally, this market becomes appealing, as it would automatically win if Struff beat Fritz. But adding to that, given how big he serves and how well he’s playing from the baseline right now, he will certainly push Fritz all the way – that’s if he doesn’t win.

Taylor Fritz vs Jan-Lennard Struff odds

The chance of Fritz winning today is 57.10%, while the probability for Struff is a perfect 50% – based on the latest odds.

Can Struff go all the way at the BMW Open and claim the title against Fritz?

This game is set to start very soon, so let’s look at each individual in greater detail to add some more insight.

Taylor Fritz preview

Fritz isn’t a natural clay court player. He isn’t the greatest mover on this surface, and he doesn’t play with heavy spin – especially on the backhand side. But you can’t deny, the man pulls out some solid results on clay given that he’s not particularly suited to it. However, he’s not been challenged quite like Struff to get to this point.

Jan-Lennard Struff preview

Struff has been extra motivated this week in front of the Munich crowd. He has taken out Van de Zandschulp, Auger-Aliassime, and Rune en route to the finals, which is an impressive string of victories. So, for me, he’s in better form than Fritz, and he looks ready to take the crown at the BMW Open.

Fritz vs Struff head to head

These two have only played twice on the ATP Tour, and the records are perfectly poised at 1-1. However, with these results coming in 2021 and 2019, they don’t really hold much substance coming into this match today.
