The American number 1 has been on a warpath in familiar surroundings.With title success in Delray Beach, he was 6-0 before his three-set defeat to Holger Rune. He now picks up at the Hard Rock Stadium for his eight attempt at securing the Miami Open title.

Taylor Fritz started the 2024 season by participating at the United Cup, where he notched a win and a loss against Norrie and De Minaur, respectively.
After that, Fritz competed at the first Major of the season, Australian Open, hoping to finally get a good result at some of the biggest tournaments. To his credit, Fritz did get to the quarter-finals at Australian Open, matching his best result at Majors, before finally going down against Novak Djokovic.
The American then had a brief stint in Davis Cup before arriving at Delray Beach, where went all the way to win the title by beating fellow countryman Tommy Paul in the final. Fritz is heading to Mexico to play at the Acapulco Open next.
