Elina Svitolina and Marketa Vondrousova will face each other in the Wimbledon semifinals. No one could have predicted that these two players would go this far in the tournament, but whoever follows ladies’ tennis knows that anything is possible.
Svitolina came in the tournament receiving a wildcard after she missed significant time as she recently gave birth to her first child. This will be her fourth Grand Slam semifinal, and second at Wimbledon after 2019, and she is hoping she will finally make the next step and advance to the final. Vondrousova has a chance to make it to her second Grand Slam final after she reached the final in 2019 at Roland Garros where she lost to Ashleigh Barty.
