The last of our tennis predictions today concerning the Monte Carlo Masters is ready to roll. Of course, this relates to the final between Tsitsipas and Ruud – a final that should be highly entertaining. As for my tips and associated markets, it’s all detailed below.

Our favourite Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Casper Ruud predictions

Both of these finalists weren’t necessarily expected to be competing for the title this week. After all, Tsitsipas has experienced a lacklustre season so far, while Ruud hasn’t found his best form for quite some time either. However, they both love the clay, and I expect a close encounter this afternoon.

As for my predictions, I’ve listed and explained them here:

Ruud to win @ 6/5 (2.20)

As mentioned above, I didn’t expect Ruud to be in this position, but he’s been impressive all week long. Furthermore, he beat the world number 1 in his last match, and he displayed the kind of tennis that makes him one of the best clay court players in the game. So for me, I think he has the edge over Tsitsipas today, especially since he’s already beaten him in 2024.

Ruud +2.5 games handicap @ 8/11 (1.73)

At this point in the ATP schedule 2024, the clay court players start to shine. That said, since I’ve picked Ruud to beat Tsitsipas today, I firmly believe he is more than capable of scoring a +2.5 games handicap against Tsitsipas.

Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Casper Ruud odds

Ruud’s probability of victory today is 45.50%, while the chance of a victory for Tsitsipas is 61.90%.

Ruud to lift the Monte Carlo Masters title for the first time?

Let’s take a closer look at the match between these guys today by quickly covering a preview for each individual.

Stefanos Tsitsipas preview

There is something about Monte Carlo that just brings out the best in Stefanos Tsitsipas. He has won the tournament twice in the last three years, and he’s now in the finals once again. Of course, he beat Jannik Sinner in the semi-finals too, which will give him massive confidence ahead of the final. However, he lost to Ruud in straight sets earlier this season, and he does have a losing H2H against the Norwegian.

Casper Ruud preview

Casper Ruud finally looks like he’s back where he belongs. At 10 in the world, he’s obviously a top player across all surfaces, but clay is certainly his thing. This is evident given that he has made the finals of Roland Garros twice, and since he has beaten Tsitsipas on clay on the one occasion they’ve met on this surface, this could give him the edge.

Tsitsipas vs Ruud head to head

The head to head between Tsitsipas and Ruud is 2-1 in favour of the Norwegian. Ruud beat Tsitsipas on clay the first time they met back in 2021, and he beat Tsitsipas earlier this year in Los Cabos. That said, Tsitsipas’ only win over Ruud came on hard court back in 2021.
