More quarter-final action is on the way from Roland Garros, which means more tennis predictions today are yours to check out. Of course, the match coming up for the night session is Tsitsipas vs Alcaraz, and I’ve given my tips below.
Our favourite Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Carlos Alcaraz predictions
Contents
The battle between Tsitsipas and Alcaraz should be an entertaining one. It’s the 6th time these two have met, and it will be the 4th time in a row they’ve faced one another on clay. Additionally, this is an exact repeat of the quarter-final of 2023 – a match that Alcaraz won in straight sets.
That being said, I’ve got two high-value markets in mind for this game:
Alcaraz -3.5 games handicap @ 3/4 (1.75)
Alcaraz’s record against Tsitsipas is commanding, and that is probably an understatement. The Spaniard has taken out Tsitsipas in every match they’ve played, meaning he’s beaten the Greek five times in a row. Needless to say, this bodes very well for a -3.5 games handicap for Alcaraz.
Alcaraz to win 3-1 @ 14/5 (3.80)
I know that the last match between these guys resulted in a 3-0 win for Alcaraz. However, I feel Tsitsipas is playing well enough this year to take a set from Alcaraz. But with the way that Alcaraz has played in the French Open 2024, I think if he drops a set, he will raise his game considerably and win in four sets.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Carlos Alcaraz odds
Looking at the most recent odds for this match, Tsitsipas has a 25.60% probability of winning compared with an 80% chance for Alcaraz.
Epic night session coming up between Tsitsipas and Alcaraz
What a session the fans are in for when these guys take to the court. But before this happens, let me provide some additional insight ahead of the match:
Stefanos Tsitsipas preview
Historically speaking, Tsitsipas has been one of the most successful guys left in the draw at the French Open. He has made the final previously, and his form on clay, in general, speaks for itself. That being said, the unfortunate thing for Tsitsipas is that Alcaraz certainly seems to have his number, which makes this a very difficult match.
Carlos Alcaraz preview
There were injury doubts surrounding Alcaraz coming into the French Open, but he has firmly put those doubts to bed. Alcaraz is the 3rd seed this year at Roland Garros too, and he will be eager to do better than last year when he made the semi-finals. Lastly, I’d say he has looked quite sensational in all previous matches this year, dropping just one set to reach this point.
Tsitsipas vs Alcaraz head to head
It’s Alcaraz who dominates Tsitsipas when you look into the head-to-head records. Specifically, he has a 5-0 record over the Greek, with the last three of these five wins coming on outdoor clay courts.
