Again, while far from his Slam-winning form, Wawrinka is still a better player than Vukic. The Swiss failed to make it past the first round of a Masters tournament in the last three attempts, but this could very well change this time around.
Vukic did well to qualify for his first Masters 1000 main draw since Indian Wells 2021, but the Australian’s recent form doesn’t inspire much confidence. The 26-year old has only made it past the second round once in three Challengers this year. Wawrinka has a good chance of wrapping this one up in straight sets, and at a very good value.

The three-time Slam winner struggled with injuries during last summer, leading to a disappointing run of first round exits. On the positive side, the 26-year old reached the Australian Open main draw. He also pulled off an upset at the Delray Beach Open. After sneaking into the main draw as a lucky loser, Vukic beat Christopher Eubanks one day after losing his qualifying match against the American. But his most recent results were somewhat disappointing, as the Aussie failed to make it past the quarterfinals in two Challenger 75 tournaments.
