It’s been a long but exciting ride to get to this point in the tournament. Following the completion of the scheduled matches on day 13, we are now aware of the individuals involved in both of the finals for day 14. Because of this, the Shanghai Masters schedule has now been released for the final day of the championships. And as you have no doubt figured out, day 14 will host just two matches. This is always the case when you get to the last day in any event, as all the other players have been knocked out of the draw.
Furthermore, because of the players that have reached the final, I believe that the Shanghai Masters order of play for Sunday will produce something pretty special. The schedule also has a nice mix of tennis, and I say this since the doubles match up offers something completely different from the singles matchup. Either way, if you are a fan of top level tennis, these matches are not to be missed.
So on that note, let me give you the final Shanghai Masters schedule breakdown for the tournament this year.
Stadium Court – the exact lineup for both finals
As noted above, Stadium Court is set to host just two matches on Sunday, October 15th. This includes the men’s doubles final and the men’s singles final. Additionally, this is the 4th day in a row where Stadium Court is the only arena hosting any games. So of course, all eyes have been on Stadium Court for a fair period of time already. As for the Shanghai Masters order of play for day 14 on this court, play will start at 09:00 with the doubles final while the singles final won’t start before 09:30.
With that cleared up, let me reveal the lineup right now:
- Granollers/Zeballos vs Bopanna/Ebden
- Hubert Kurkacz vs Andrey Rublev
The men’s doubles final should be a very interesting contest. On the one hand, Granollers/Zeballos have yet to drop a set all tournament, showing they’ve been rather clinical in their performances. But on the other hand, Bopanna/Ebden have fought tooth and nail to make it to finals day.
As for the men’s singles final, it’s Hurkacz vs Rublev for the trophy. Both guys managed to win their semi-final games in straight sets, and with high-risk, high-reward game styles, this match should be a very interesting one. And to make things even more enticing, the head to head between these two guys stands at 2-2. Furthermore, since Rublev has won the last two matches against Hurkacz, the Polish player will be out for revenge.
So I am expecting a feisty affair in the final of the Shanghai Masters event tomorrow! Of course, this will wrap up my daily updates for the Shanghai Masters schedule, so do enjoy the remaining matches and remember to stay tuned for upcoming tournaments.
Day 13 – Shanghai Masters schedule for Saturday, October 14th
It’s crazy to think that this is the penultimate Shanghai Masters order of play that will be released for the 2023 tournament. I know that we have enjoyed more than one week of top-level tennis in this tournament so far, but it seems to have gone by in a flash. Then again, this must be a good sign, as it means that we have all enjoyed the tournament as a whole, as well as the individual matches that have made it special. With that said, there are still several fascinating matches due to be played over the next couple of days.
So, how is the Shanghai Masters schedule shaping up for day 13? Well, since each passing day sees more players exit the draw, the number of games coming up on day 13 has not increased. In fact, there are just three matches listed for Saturday, October 14th, and these consist of one men’s doubles semi-final as well as two men’s singles semi-finals. The actual Shanghai Masters order of play is identical to day 12 too, and I mean this in terms of when the doubles and singles matches will be played.
Once again, all of these three games are set to be held on Stadium Court, and play is not scheduled to begin until 07:00 – UK time. This is when the men’s doubles semi-final will get started, yet regardless of when it finishes, the next match on Stadium Court will not kick off until 09:30. And if the first semi-final is a quick one, the last match of the day will still not begin before 13:00. As for the schedule, I’ve detailed it below.
Stadium Court – order of play for day 13
Since the scheduled matches will not begin until 07:00 on day 13, there is no need to wake up quite as early as you may have been doing throughout the rest of the tournament. Then again, a 7 AM start is still pretty early to get up and watch the matches for a Saturday. But if you are willing to do so, you will be able to catch the fourth seeds going up against a French duo that has been on a mission throughout this tournament. As for the Shanghai Masters order of play after that match, it’s the two men’s singles semi-finals back to back.
Please see the details of the exact matches and the players involved right here:
- Bopanna/Ebden vs Doumbia/Reboul
- Hubert Hurkacz vs Sebastian Korda
- Grigor Dimitrov vs Andrey Rublev
As you would expect at this point in a major tournament, this Shanghai Masters schedule is largely made up of seeded players for day 13. In fact, it is only the French doubles team who does not have a number next to their names in the order of play on Saturday. Then again, anything is possible at this stage of the 2023 Shanghai Masters, so we can’t count anyone out.
Day 12 – Shanghai Masters schedule for Friday, October 13th
It is now crunch time at the 2023 Shanghai Masters tournament. I say that because the semi-finals are almost fully set for the singles event. And the two semi-finals in the doubles event are coming up over the next few days. Furthermore, when looking ahead to the Shanghai Masters schedule for Friday, October 13th, we have the remaining quarter-final matches for the top half of the singles draw. Interestingly, the quarter-final matches in the singles event consist of four seeded players.
However, only one of these seeded players was expected to make it this far, and that player is Andrey Rublev – the 5th seed. As for the others, sure, they were seeded for this event, but they have already surpassed any initial expectations. So anything beyond this point is a bonus for all of the guys who are due to play on the Shanghai Masters schedule for day 12. As for the scheduled semi-final games for the doubles event, we have the number 7 seeds taking on an unseeded partnership that has shocked us all.
Of course, I have supplied the full Shanghai Masters order of play for these matches in the following section. But first, I should confirm that play will begin on the scheduled court at 07:00 UK time. This is actually the latest start of the entire tournament so far, but it’s still pretty early for a Friday! Yet for those of you who only wish to watch the singles matches, these will not begin until 09:30 at the earliest!
Anyway, let me now discuss the Shanghai Masters schedule for day 12.
Shanghai Masters order of play for Stadium Court
To confirm once again, the schedule for Stadium Court on Friday consists of a total of three matches. The day will begin with the first of the doubles semi-finals, and this match should start at approximately 07:00 UK time. This match will then be followed by the remaining two quarter-finals of the men’s singles event. And thrown into the mix, there is an on-court presentation from the legendary Roger Federer between the two singles games. How about that as an added bonus?
As for the exact players and matches that are coming up, please see the three games below:
- Granollers/Zeballos vs Hijikata/Norrie
- Grigor Dimitrov vs Nicolas Jarry
- Ugo Humbert vs Andrey Rublev
It has been a bit of a fairytale tournament for several of the players involved in the Shanghai Masters schedule for day 12. This is true for the duo of Hijikata/Norrie, as they’ve won three straight matches in third-set breakers. And it’s also true for Humbert, Jarry, as well as Dimitrov, as none of these guys were expected to reach the quarter-finals. Of course, none of these guys want their tournament to end now either.
So I expect them to be fighting harder than ever to reach the semi-finals, which will then be played on Saturday, October 14th.
Day 11 – 2023 Shanghai Masters schedule for Thursday, October 12th
The Shanghai Masters order of play has been released. With four matches on the cards, you can expect another gripping day of Masters 1000-level tennis. And this time around, the schedule is evenly split between doubles and singles games. However, this is the first time that the Shanghai Masters schedule has condensed all of the matches into just a single court. As you might have guessed if you’ve been tracking these updates, it’s the Stadium Court that is the chosen court for day 11. Additionally, the 4x matches that are due to be played on this court are all quarter-final matches.
So to clarify – the Shanghai Masters order of play for this court boasts 2x singles matches and 2x doubles matches. Naturally, the players involved are playing awesome tennis too, so the contests that are coming up should be great to watch. On that note, as we’ve come to know from the Asian swing, watching the games does require an early start if viewing from the United Kingdom. Once again, day 11 follows a 05:30 start time, yet the schedule is then somewhat adapted compared to previous days.
All of this, along with the full Shanghai Masters schedule for the Stadium Court on day 11 is outlined in the following section.
Stadium Court – Shanghai Masters order of play
As noted above, the play will commence on Stadium Court at 05:30 – which is 12:30 in Shanghai. This will initiate a string of four matches, although they won’t be played one after the other, not immediately, anyway. For the first time all tournament, there is a ‘not before’ time for most of the scheduled matches. This ensures that the Shanghai Masters schedule is spread out, giving fans and viewers at home plenty of time between the games.
As for the complete Shanghai Masters order of play for Stadium Court on Thursday, October 12th, please see the matches and their ‘not before’ times below:
- Doumbia/Reboul vs Koolhof/Skupski – 05:30
- Fabian Marozsan vs Hubert Hurkacz – NB 08:00
- Ben Shelton vs Sebastian Korda – NB 11:30
- Arevalo/Rojer vs Bopanna/Ebden – Follows previous game immediately
This lineup gives you an idea of when to tune in if you are planning on watching some of the matches for day 11. Yet at the same time, it showcases the exact individuals who have a chance of reaching the semi-finals of the 2023 Shanghai Masters event. Additionally, since there is one doubles and one singles match scheduled for the day and night sessions, the schedule is nice and balanced. With that said, if I had to choose my ‘match of the day’, I would definitely pick Shelton vs Korda.
This All-American battle should be a thriller, and both guys have been playing outrageous tennis in the tournament so far. So if they both bring their A-game on day 11, this has the makings of a possible classic.
Day 10 – Shanghai Masters schedule for Wednesday, October 11th
As we approach the midpoint of the second week for the 2023 Shanghai Masters, things are looking very interesting indeed. In the singles event, the top seeds are now starting to face serious challenges, and they will need to bring their very best tennis if they are to advance into the quarter-finals. Of course, this means that the matches that are included on the Shanghai Masters order of play for day 10 are fourth-round matches.
However, this is only true for the singles competition. Regarding the doubles competition, there are just two matches scheduled for day 10, and both of these games are quarter-final matches. Of course, this means that day 10 will host a grand total of six matches, which guarantees many hours of entertaining tennis.
As for what is on the cards for Wednesday, October 11th, let me give you the specific breakdown right now.
Stadium Court
To clarify once again, in line with the Shanghai Masters schedule for day 10, the singles games will commence on Stadium Court at around 05:30 UK time. This has been fairly typical throughout the tournament, even as we now have fewer and fewer games scheduled for each day. As for what’s coming up on the Stadium Court, the Shanghai Masters order of play reveals that there are four singles matches on Wednesday.
These games each offer something unique based on the players involved. And with four matches in total, it should be another great day of tennis on Stadium Court at the Shanghai Masters. Finally – you can view the exact order of play below:
- Nicolas Jarry vs Diego Schwartzman
- Ugo Humbert vs J.J. Wolf
- Carlos Alcaraz vs Grigor Dimitrov
- Tommy Paul vs Andrey Rublev
Show Court 3
At this point in the tournament, the organizers have branched out and divided the top half from the bottom half in terms of the Shanghai Masters order of play. We know this because the two scheduled doubles matches on Show Court 3 are both from the top half of the draw. And as you may also know, the Shanghai Masters doubles competition is at the quarter-final stage right now. Therefore, the matches that will unfold on Show Court 3 for day 10 will decide which pairings will reach the semi-finals for the 2023 tournament.
Adding to that, I believe it’s safe to say that a few of the pairs involved in these matches were not expected to be here at this stage. More specifically, since the quarter-final matches have two unseeded pairs and two seeded pairs in the top half, not many punters would have predicted this lineup at the beginning of the event. Lastly, concerning the Shanghai Masters order of play for Show Court 3, the following games will commence from 06:30 onwards:
- Hijikata/Norrie vs Gonzalez/Molteni
- Haase/Tsitsipas vs Granollers/Gonzalez
Day 9 – Shanghai Masters schedule for Tuesday, October 10th
Things are truly starting to heat up in Shanghai. The singles competition is now at the 4th round stage, which means that all players you see in the Shanghai Masters schedule are bidding for a spot in the last 8. Additionally, the same is true for the Shanghai Masters doubles tournament, as the scheduled games on day 9 are all ‘round of 16’ matches. Needless to say, by checking the Shanghai Masters order of play at this stage in the tournament, things look pretty exciting.
Major names like Jannik Sinner, Casper Ruud, Hubert Hurkacz, as well as some of the top seeds in the doubles event are playing on Tuesday, October 10th. And for the moment, with all 8x games being squeezed into just two show courts, there is a clear shift from quantity to quality in terms of the Shanghai Masters schedule. As for the courts that will host these games and the start times, it’s Stadium Court and Show Court 3 that will host the matches for day 9.
Both courts are scheduled to start at 05:30 too, which is fairly early for viewers in the United Kingdom. But on a positive note, this does mean that if you’ve got time, you’ll be able to watch at least a few matches as the morning progresses. Anyway, you’re no doubt interested in how the Shanghai Masters order of play looks for October 10th.
You’ll find an exact overview of these details below.
Stadium Court
With a scheduled start time of 05:30 (UK time), you may need to set your alarm to catch all of the action on Stadium Court. Then again, this would be worth it by looking at the Shanghai Masters schedule for this court ahead of day 9. - Hubert Hurkacz vs Zhizhen Zhang
Show Court 3
Show Court 3 is also set to begin at 05:30 UK time. However, the lineup for this court compared to Stadium Court is completely different. I say this because the Shanghai Masters schedule for Show Court 3 shows only doubles matches for day 9. Or more specifically, this court will host four doubles matches, each of which are second-round contests relating to the bottom half of the draw. Of course, the winners of these respective matches will reach the quarter-finals of the 2023 Shanghai Masters tournament.
As for who is in the running for such achievements, the following Shanghai Masters order of play offers the answers:
- Gonzalez/Roger-Vasselin vs Doumbia/Reboul
- Ram/Salisbury vs Hijikata/Norrie
- De Minaur/Purcell vs Haase/Tsitsipas
- Cerundolo/Etcheverry vs Bopanna/Ebden
Day 8 – Shanghai Masters schedule, Monday, October 9th
As we enter Monday, October 9th, we are now around the bend and onto the ‘home straight’ for the 2023 Shanghai Masters. Then again, there is still more than half of the tournament left to play, and this is true for the singles and doubles competitions. As for the Shanghai Masters schedule now that we’ve turned the bend into a new week, the lineup is getting all the more exciting. Specifically, round three games make up the bulk of the Shanghai Masters order of play on Monday, and several seeded players are due to face off.
At the same time, there is a reasonable number of second-round matches in the men’s doubles tournament too. So, if you wish to watch the singles games from the beginning, play will start at 05:30 on Stadium Court and Show Court 3. Yet if you want to tune in for the start of the doubles, play won’t start until 06:00 on Grandstand 2 and 08:00 on Court 4.
Stadium Court
Sticking with the tradition of Stadium Court hosting the most prestigious games of the day, it’s another exciting lineup here on October 9th. Names like Carlos Alcaraz and Stefanos Tsitsipas are on the schedule, and they are facing decent opponents too. With that said, these aren’t the only guys set to show their skills on Stadium Court on Monday, as reflected in the following lineup:
- Grigor Dimitrov vs Karen Khachanov
- Diego Schwartzman vs Taylor Fritz

- Tommy Paul vs Arthur Fils
- Adrian Mannarino vs Andrey Rublev
- Lorenzo Sonego vs Nicolas Jarry
- Matteo Arnaldi vs J.J. Wolf
Grandstand 2
Grandstand 2 is the first of two courts that is set to host only doubles matches according to the latest Shanghai Masters order of play. However, this court has four doubles matches compared to just two on Court 4. So clearly, there is a better lineup in terms of quantity of matches for Grandstand 2 – that’s if you are fans of doubles. Anyway, let me reveal the order of play right now:
- Hurkacz/Shelton vs Hijikata/Norrie
- Ram/Salisbury vs Sinner/Zhang
- Escobar/Nedovyesov vs Koolhof/Skupski
- TBD vs TBD
Court 4
Court 4 might have the fewest number of matches on the Shanghai Masters schedule today, but there are still two great matches on this court. Both of these are doubles games, and the exact lineup for these two doubles matches is listed below:
- TBD vs Gonzalez/Molteni
- Khachanov/Rublev vs Cerundolo/Etcheverry

Court 4
This is the point at which the Shanghai Masters schedule starts to become more dominated by the doubles competition on the extra courts. I say that because Court 4 has two doubles matches and three singles matches, yet the higher seeds due to play here are involved in the doubles event. As for the complete lineup, here are the five matches scheduled for Court 4 on Sunday:
- Arthur Fils vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
- Beibit Zhukayev vs Karen Khachanov
- Dusan Lajovic vs Fabian Marozsan

- Botic van de Zandschulp vs Ugo Humbert

Day 6 – Shanghai Masters schedule 2023
Many of the top Shanghai Masters seeds started their campaigns on Friday, October 6th. Yet given the sheer scale of the draw, this stage of the event requires two days of play to reveal who has made the third round. Therefore, with just half of the seeds playing and completing their games on Friday, this leaves the other half to play on Saturday, October 7th. This is also known as ‘day 6’ of the 2023 Shanghai Masters, and the schedule for this day is packed with intriguing contests.
On that note, I’ve supplied a full overview of the Shanghai Masters schedule for day 6 for each of the respective courts below.

- Tommy Paul vs Sebastian Ofner

With a blend of wildcards, qualifiers, and seeds, some might say that Grandstand 2 is the most diverse of all the courts for Saturday. And I do tend to agree, especially given the following Shanghai Masters order of play:
- J.J. Wolf vs Cameron Norrie
- Grigor Dimitrov vs Aleksandar Vukic
- Mikhail Kukushkin vs Daniel Evans
- Jiri Lehecka vs Diego Schwartzman

And if you’ve checked the draw, this is the first day that the top seeds can start to flex their muscles in this tournament. Since the first two days of the event purely consisted of round one games, the seeds now know who their opponents will be, and many of these matches feature on the Shanghai Masters schedule for day five. Just as a reminder – the seeds all received a bye into the second round, which is why they will only open their campaigns on October 6th.
With this in mind, I should also stress that the matches will begin across all courts at 05:30 UK time, unless stated otherwise. So with that clarified, let me now cover the full Shanghai Masters schedule for Friday, October 6th.

2023 Shanghai Masters schedule – Day 4 lineup
The main draw of the 2023 Shanghai Masters is officially underway. On Wednesday, October 4th, the initial set of first-round matches were played and completed. And naturally, the winners of these matches are now set to play in round two over the coming days. As for what’s on the cards for the Shanghai Masters order of play for day 4, which is Thursday, October 5th, all of the remaining first-round matches will be contested. This is because there are a ton of players who are involved in the tournament at the very beginning, so it takes a couple of days to work through all of these matches.
Yet once we get to round two and beyond, the Shanghai Masters schedule then becomes a little less hectic. But at the same time, the men’s doubles event also kicks in from the end of this first week onwards. So while we might not see the same volume of players for the men’s singles event, the action and subsequent level of tennis does not drop in standard whatsoever. Then again, isn’t that what we’d all expect from a Masters 1000 tournament?
As for the Shanghai Masters schedule when looking ahead to Thursday, October 5th, I’ve got all of the courts and associated matches listed for you below. And just as a reminder, with Shanghai having a seven-hour time difference, the action around the grounds will start very early in the morning – UK time.
Stadium Court

ATP Shanghai Masters schedule for 2023 – what’s in store?
At the time of writing, the Shanghai Masters schedule has actually kicked into gear already. I say this because the Shanghai Masters qualifying matches are set to conclude on Tuesday, October 3rd. And with zero time to waste, the Shanghai Masters main draw immediately begins on the following day, which is Wednesday, October 4th. So just to clarify, the main events will start to unfold from October 4th onwards. These events include the main singles tournament and the Shanghai Masters doubles event too.
As for the progress of the 2023 Shanghai Masters schedule, there will be a consecutive string of matches played from October 4th to October 15th. This extended schedule is something we have seen with all Masters 1000 events in 2023, and it seems to have worked out well for everyone involved. Furthermore, given that the 2023 Shanghai Masters has a draw size of 96 for singles 32 for doubles, this extended schedule gives an adequate period of time in which to complete all matches without any issues.
Finally, before we get into the specifics of the Shanghai Masters order of play for 2023, you should know that the early days of the event are where you’ll find the most matches. This is true for both the singles and doubles competitions. So if you wish to tune in and watch the event via the available Shanghai Masters live streaming options, these early days will deliver the most extensive viewing.
2023 Shanghai Masters order of play – scheduling, updates, and more
The Shanghai Masters schedule as a whole doesn’t quite do the individual days during the event justice. For that reason, I’ve chosen to provide some specifics concerning the Shanghai Masters order of play for the 2023 tournament too. On that note, there are a few things that the order of play delivers that the overall Shanghai Masters schedule doesn’t. And because of that, it’s important to clarify some things, which I have done below.
Scheduled start times
That’s right – by checking in for the latest Shanghai Masters order of play, you will see what time play will commence on each day of the tournament. Keep in mind that Shanghai is seven hours ahead of the UK, so matches will normally start early in the morning. Of course, my daily updates will always reveal when the matches will begin, and they will also reveal the estimated timings for matches throughout the day.
Players involved in the matches
Of course, the 2023 Shanghai Masters schedule overview cannot tell you which players will be playing on any given day. At the same time, while the general schedule shows what rounds will be played on what days, again, it’s impossible to know which players will be involved. However, if you come back frequently and observe the Shanghai Masters order of play for each day, all matches will be shown in detail.
Where they are playing
Where a player is competing might not be quite as important as who they are playing and what time, but it’s still part of the equation. So to clarify, my updates regarding the Shanghai Masters schedule on each day will also reveal what court the players are playing on. This will be the case from round one through to the finals, and this can be used to help find the court if watching online too.
