The Paris Masters kicks off this week. This will be the last ATP 1000 event of the year, and the last big tournament before the ATP World Tour Finals. As 56 players make the trip to Paris for this competition, it’ll be interesting to see who will reign supreme when all is said and done. In this article, we’ll provide our Paris Masters predictions, which will be updated each day.
Paris Masters tips – Novak Djokovic to win outright @ 3/4 (1.75)
Contents
We would like to point out that Novak Djokovic has been the most successful player in the history of this tournament. The Serb has reached a record eight finals, winning a record six titles.
As a matter of fact, Djokovic has many other records here; including most consecutive titles, most consecutive finals, most matches played, most matches won and most consecutive matches won. The current World number 1 has also been the best player on the ATP Tour this year, winning three grand slam titles.
To be fair, every player ranked inside the top 10 will participate in this event. However, the 24 time grand slam champion should be able to win his seventh Paris Masters title at the end of this tournament.
Paris Masters picks – day 4
There are a few matches scheduled for today, and these are our favourite predictions:
Hubert Hurkacz vs Grigor Dimitrov – Dimitrov to win @ 13/20 (1.65)
Grigor Dimitrov has put up some impressive performances over the past month; he has beaten two of the top three players in the World in the past few weeks, Daniil Medvedev and Carlos Alcaraz.
To be fair, number 11 seed Hubert Hurkacz has also enjoyed some fine form lately; as he has seven wins in his last eight matches. However, the Polish player doesn’t have a great track record against Dimitrov.
These players squared off against each other on three occasions, and Grigor Dimitrov won all three encounters. All things considered, we are leaning towards the Bulgarian player for the victory.
Stefanos Tsitsipas vs Karen Khachanov – Tsitsipas to win @ 8/15 (1.53)
This should be an interesting clash between two seeded players. Stefanos Tsitsipas and Karen Khachanov will meet for the ninth time in their respective careers today, and the third time this year.
Although Khachanov came out on top the last time these players met, he has struggled against his Greek opponent in the past. As a matter of fact, Karen Khachanov has lost six of eight previous skirmishes between these players; one of his two wins vs Tsitsipas was in an exhibition match. That said, we are fairly confident that Stefanos Tsitsipas will reign supreme at the end of this match.
Novak Djokovic vs Holger Rune – Rune to win a set @ 23/20 (2.15)
It may interest you to know that this is a rematch of last year’s final. Although Novak Djokovic is the most successful player in the history of this tournament, Holger Rune is the defending champion; as he defeated the Serbian player in the final last year.
Bearing that in mind, these players have met three times on the court; and Holger Rune leads the head-to-head with two wins. In fact, the Danish player came out on top the last two times these players met; he has never lost to Djokovic in straight sets. All things considered, we believe there’s a lot of value in backing Rune to take at least one set.
