The British tennis player breezed through the qualifying rounds of the National Bank Open. In her first match, she defeated the Romanian Miriam Bulgaru, and she subsequently defeated the Spanish Marina Bassols Ribera. Katie Boulter won both of her bouts in straight sets.

One of the most notable names in this qualifying round was American Collins, who had to miss out on Eugenie Bouchard and Emina Bektas. Her pass was not easy to obtain, as she needed three sets on both occasions to win.

Sachia Vickery

Surprisingly, the 28-year-old veteran made the field of 64 at the Montreal Open 2023. Despite dropping the opening set of the match to Linda Fruhvirtova, Vickery came back to win in three sets against her compatriot Kayla Day.
