Kokkinakis is 86th in the ATP rankings and he has never been higher than No. 69. The Australian is 31-18 for the season and 23-11 on hard.
Kokkinakis made it to the second round at the Toronto Open after defeating Borna Gojo and Corentine Lestienne in the qualifiers and then went past Zhizhen Zhang in the first round of the main draw.
Earlier this year, Kokkinakis won the challenger in Manama defeating Abedallah Shelbayh in the final.
