Safiullin’s best results this season were the title in Koblenz and reaching the quarterfinal in Wimbledon where he lost to Jannik Sinner.
Thompson vs Safiullin head to head
This will be the third match between Thompson and Safiullin and both of them won one of the previous. At the beginning of the year, they met in the qualifiers in Adelaide where Thompson won 6-4, 6-4.
