Burrage went through the qualifiers to find her spot in the main draw in Eastbourne. She defeated Kamilla Rakhimova 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 in the first and then Jasmine Paolini 7-5, 6-4 in the second qualifying round. In the main draw, Burrage started with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Lauren Davis. Burrage’s best results this season is the win at the ITF Croissy-Beauborg tournament and she also reached the finals in Canberra and Nottingham.
Coco Gauff
Coco Gauff is currently 7th in the WTA rankings, and her career high has been No. 4. Gauff is 25-10 for the season and 2-1 on grass. The American is coming off a 6-3, 6-2 opening round win over Bernarda Perra. Previously, the 19-year-old American lost in the round of 16 at the Berlin Open, failing to Ekaterina Alexandrova by 6-4, 6-0. Gauff had a solid performance at the Roland Garros, making it to the quarterfinal, where she lost to the later champion Iga Swiatek. Gauff won one title earlier this season, in Auckland in January.
