Jessica Pegula vs Veronika Kudermetova – Match Predictions
Contents
Jessica Pegula has a solid season but she still hasn’t won any title this season. She will have a chance to get a step closer to it when she faces Kudermetova who is in the quarterfinals for the first time in Madrid.
Jessica Pegula to win
This is a match between two players from the top 15. Pegula has only one loss on clay this season in 7 matches while the Russian has lost 2 of 5. Pegula is among the favorites to win the tournament and Kudermetova will not be able to stand in her way of reaching the semis. The Russian survived three three-set matches in the previous round and this is as far as she can go.
Over 21.5 games
Pegula has played a tie-break in the first two rounds and went in three sets in the next one in Madrid. Kudermetova played 9 sets in 3 matches so far, so they are both keen on long matches. Pegula will be the better one and will get control of the match at some point but anyway, it will go over 21.5 games.
