This will definitely be a tough match between two players who have high hopes for Wimbledon. Gauff is 10 years younger and she plays constantly well throughout the year. Pegula was not that consistent, especially in the last couple of months. Gauff will take advantage of the better form and will advance to the semifinals.

Pegula is currently fourth in the world one spot lower than her career high. The 29-year-old is 31-10 for the season and 2-0 on grass. Pegula took some time off since the French Open where she lost in the third round to Elise Mertens. She had a solid start in Eastbourne defeating Qinwen Zheng, 6-3, 6-4. In the second round, things did not go that smoothly but Pegula still won, 6-2, 1-6, 6-3 against Camila Osorio. Pegula’s best result this season was the final in Doha where she lost to Iga Swiatek.
Coco Gauff
Coco Gauff is currently 7th in the WTA rankings, and os just a matter of time before she goes back to the Top 5 players in the WTA rankings. Gauff is 26-10 for the season and 3-1 on grass. She has been very solid in the first two rounds in Eastbourne. First, the 19-year-old defeated Bernarda Pera by 6-3, 6-2 and then she went past Jodie Burrage by 6-1, 6-1.
Last week, Gauff lost in the round of 16 at the Berlin Open, failing to Ekaterina Alexandrova by 6-4, 6-0. Gauff won one title earlier this season, in Auckland in January.
