Swiatek made little work of Raducanu in their two meetings till-date, triumphing in straight sets at each time of asking. She should have enough in the tank to get over her English rival, one who she has disposed of with ease in their last two duels.

Raducanu has failed to reach the dizzying heights of her 2021 US Open triumph. She bowed out of the Australian Open in the Round of 32 at the hands of Coco Gauff and took an extended break before Indian Wells. She has impressed in California’s weather, getting over higher placed Danka Kovinic, Danka Kovinic and Beatriz Haddad Maia to book her quarter-final place.
