Yet her opponent today, Danielle Collins, has beaten her in the recent past. And Collins has come all the way from qualifying to set up this rematch with Iga Swiatek later today. However, I do believe that Swiatek will win, although the value on that market alone isn’t overly appealing.

Therefore, I’m come up with two alternatives to the basic ‘win’ market, as you can see below:

Swiatek to Win 2-0

Given the poor value, if we simply took Swiatek for the win, I’ve switched things up to shoot for Swiatek to win in straight sets. For this market, the value is far better, and it’s likely that Swiatek will grab a win in straight sets, based on the facts and figures of recent times. 

Collins +6.5 Games Handicap

If you look at Collins’ matches in the run to the quarter-finals here, it’s rather incredible. She has beaten Svitolina, Sakkari, and then Fernandez to make the quarters. Better yet, she hasn’t even lost a set. Adding to that, she did beat Swiatek at the 2022 Australian Open, so I think she can score enough games to pull this market through.

Swiatek is the top dog for many reasons on the WTA Tour. She makes the game incredibly physical, and she is ruthless when she builds a lead. Additionally, Swiatek is much improved on hard courts, as proven by her US Open title in 2022. However, she’s struggled to be as efficient as she normally is so far in the National Bank Open so far.

In contrast to the efficiency mentioned above, Collins has been a picture of efficiency at the Montreal Open. She hasn’t lost a set in the main draw, and she has dispatched three in-form players. In fact, she is playing far better than her ranking of 48 would suggest, which is why this game could be very interesting.
