The semi-final we’ve all anticipated since the beginning of the French Open has finally arrived. Coming up on June 6th we have Swiatek vs Gauff, and I’ve supplied my tennis predictions today for this thriller within.

Our favourite Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff predictions

The upcoming semi-final contest of the French Open sees the world number one, Iga Swiatek, taking on the 3rd seed, Coco Gauff. As you might recall, this is a repeat of the 2022 final – a match that Swiatek won quite comfortably. But plenty has happened since then, and both players have changed substantially.

So, with that in mind, what are the best markets to cover for this clash?

Swiatek to win 2-0 @ 4/9 (1.44)

With a 10-1 record against Coco Gauff combined with her unbelievable level of tennis recently, I firmly believe this will be a 2-0 win for Swiatek. Just looking at her recent matches, she’s lost 2 games in 4 sets of tennis. Considering these matches were the 4th round and quarter-finals of a slam, her form is undeniable.

Under 19.5 games @ 8/11 (1.73)

While Gauff is a high class clay court player, I do question whether she is in the same league as Swiatek right now. To add to that, she had a very close three set battle with Jabeur in round two. So for me, the difference in class and the recent results for these two suggests that Swiatek could run through this game quickly.

Iga Swiatek vs Coco Gauff odds

If you check the most recent odds for these two, Swiatek has a 90% probability of winning this match compared with just a 16.70% chance for Gauff.

1st vs 3rd seed – who will reach the women’s singles final in the top half?

At this stage in the tournament, anything can happen. But to add to my predictions, I wish to cover a few extras for each individual now.

Iga Swiatek preview

The form of Iga Swiatek right now is just outrageous. She won the Madrid Open, she won in Rome, and now she’s looking set to claim her 3rd straight French Open title. And besides Osaka, nobody in the draw has challenged the world number one.

Coco Gauff preview

Gauff hasn’t been anywhere near as dominant as Swiatek during the 2024 clay court season. However, she’s still one of the best in the world on this surface when she hits her stride. That’s why she’s reached the finals of Roland Garros before, which was a match where she lost to Swiatek in straight sets. Since then, however, Gauff has become a Grand Slam champion, which could make this one interesting.

Swiatek vs Gauff head to head

The head-to-head record between these two is quite staggering, really. Despite their close proximity in rankings, Swiatek holds a 10-1 advantage against Gauff. And when these two have played on clay, Swiatek has won in straight sets every single time.
