Rybakina vs Azarenka – Match Predictions
Contents
This is a tale of two players that are in very different stages of their careers. Elena Rybakina is just 23 years of age, yet she already has a Grand Slam to her name. For those who don’t recognize the name – she won the 2022 Wimbledon Championships. And on the opposite side of the net to her in this match is Victoria Azarenka. She is the 24th seed, yet she’s actually won this tournament twice in the past.
She’s also 10 years older than Rybakina, which some might view in a negative light. But personally, I believe that this is a positive thing going into this match. Azarenka is amazingly experienced and this will be her 9th appearance in a Grand Slam semi-final. In contrast, it’s just the second time that Rybakina has been in this position.
So let me explain the tennis predictions today by covering each wager below:
Azarenka to Win
Azarenka is listed as the clear underdog to win this match. That’s because Rybakina has a 1-0 head-to-head advantage over Azarenka. In addition to that, Rybakina also beat the top seed, Iga Swiatek, earlier in the event. But I just think Azarenka has the belief and game to beat Rybakina in this one.
Azarenka to Win A Set – Yes
If you don’t want to go all out for an Azarenka win, you can always pick her to win a set. The odds are naturally lower for this market. But it’s a good ‘insurance bet’ if you will, in case Azarenka falls short of grabbing the win.

Elena Rybakina Preview
Elena Rybakina has been on a warpath over the last 12-24 months. She has gone from losing in the first few rounds of Grand Slams to winning Wimbledon in 2022. And now, she’s in her second Grand Slam semi-final having dispatched Swiatek en route. Obviously, she’s playing great tennis, but experience could play a major factor here.
Victoria Azarenka Preview
Victoria Azarenka has a wealth of experience under her belt at this level. During her decorated career to this point, she has won two slams and lost in the final of three Grand Slams – all at the US Open, interestingly. With that said, the Australian Open has been her most successful Grand Slam given her 78% win percentage on these courts.
Rybakina vs Azarenka Head to Head
The head-to-head record is pretty brief between these two. However, it’s Rybakina who has the advantage with a 1-0 lead. This win came in the 2022 Indian Wells event, and she won in straight sets. But Azarenka is playing significantly better than she was back then.
