Rinderknech is currently 67th in the ATP rankings and his career high was No. 42. The Frenchman is 20-21 for the season and 11-6 on clay.
He reached the Austrian Open quarterfinals defeating Yannick Hanfmann 7-6, 6-3 and Juan Manuel Cerundolo 6-7, 6-4, 6-2.
Previous week, Rinderknech won his only tournament this season at the Zug challenger defeating Joris De Loore 3-6, 6-3, 6-4. Four of his last six matches went to the third set.
