The Serbian tennis star finished the year with a strong showing at the ATP finals, where he only dropped one set, and that was against Medvedev in the first set. This was arguably Djokovic’s most challenging match because they played a total of 38 games in three sets, including two tiebreaks.
Despite the fact that it was a best-of-three match, they played for 3 hours and 11 minutes. Because neither player wanted to concede, there were only three break points in total, one for Daniil and two for Novak. Djokovic proceeded through the rounds and into the final, where he defeated Norwegian Casper Ruud.
