The 26-year-old would go on to win back-to-back matches against Arthur Rinderknech and Wu Yibing, both in straight sets. Medvedev is a great returner, as evidenced by the fact that he has been broken just three times in three matches. It’s worth noting, however, that Medvedev’s previous opponents are all outside the top 50 on the ATP rankings; as Nick Kyrgios will be a relatively tougher opponent for the Russian.
