Caroline Garcia is not even close to the form he had last season when he won 4 titles and found her way into the Top 5 players on the tour. In the quarterfinals in San Diego, Garcia will face Collins, a player she never won a set against. Get the latest tennis betting tips and predictions here.

Our favourite Danielle Collins vs Caroline Garcia predictions

Both players needed three sets to make it to the quarterfinals in San Diego.

Caroline Garcia +3.5 @ 7/10 (1.70)

Looking at the WTA rankings, Garcia seems like the better player, but the facts say that she has never won a set against Collins in their previous two matches. Garcia is on the verge of losing a spot in the Top 10 in the rankings and will have to get her confidence back in San Diego. Collins plays well on this surface and obviously knows how to beat the French. However, Garcia will stay close and cover the +3.5 games spread.

First set over 9.5 games @ 17/20 (1.85)

Both players have been on the tour for more than a decade and are aware that this is a chance to win their first title this season. They both serve well and will be aggressive from the very start. This will be a tough battle and none of them will win the opening set easy.

Danielle Collins

Collins is 43rd in the WTA rankings and her career high was No. 7. The 29-year-old is 19-16 for the season and 18-13 on hard surface which is her favourite.

Last year’s San Diego semifinalist, reach the semis in Austin this year as well as the quarterfinals in Montreal and Adelaide.

Caroline Garcia

Garcia is currently 10th in the rankings and her career high is No. 4. The 29-year-old is 32-20 for the season and 16-12 on hard surface.

She is coming off a 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 win in the second round against Sloane Stephens. That was a nice confident builder after Garcia lost 6-4, 6-1 to Yafan Wang in the opening round at the US Open.
