Ready to watch the men’s singles semi-finals on June 7th? The upcoming game between Ruud and Zverev should be a great and interesting match, and I’ve shared my betting tips for the game below.
Our favourite Casper Ruud vs Alexander Zverev predictions
Contents
The second of the two semi-finals in Roland Garros is all set. It’s Casper Ruud who is bidding to reach a third French Open final, while Zverev is hoping to reverse the result of last year and make the finals for the first time ever. So, what are the best markets to cover?
Ruud to win @ 1/1 (2.00)
As the underdog, I find these odds just too good to resist for Casper Ruud. Let’s not forget – he’s been at this stage several times in the past, and he’s a two-time runner-up at Roland Garros. So, for me, his experience at this point in the tournament and his commanding win over Zverev last year make him a solid choice.
Over 38.5 games @ 3/4 (1.75)
Ruud absolutely destroyed Zverev at this stage in 2023. But I don’t think quite the same level of destruction is on the cards here. While yes, I think that Ruud will come out on top, I think the game could consist of four or even five sets.
Casper Ruud vs Alexander Zverev odds
The most recent odds confirm that Ruud has a 50% chance of winning this match. As for Zverev, his probability is higher at 57.10%, showing that he is the favourite.
Can Ruud make it three straight finals at Roland Garros?
You’ve got my tennis predictions today lined up. So now let’s move on to some background information for these two:
Casper Ruud preview
Casper Ruud has always been a dark horse to go out there and win the 2024 French Open. He performed well in the many build up events to Roland Garros, and he’s come through some tight matches to make the semis. For me, he just has that extra bit of talent on clay compared to Zverev, and if his forehand gets firing, he could come out on top here.
Alexander Zverev preview
Prior to the start of Roland Garros, I’d picked Alexander Zverev as my outright favourite to win the tournament. However, as impressive as he has been in the run-up to the semi-finals, I have my doubts as to how much he has left in the tank. He’s suffered to reach this round, playing five sets and spending hours on court. And when you’re about to play against a guy like Ruud, that’s the last thing you want!
Ruud vs Zverev head to head
These guys have a 2-2 head-to-head record right now. However, it’s Ruud who has won their last two meetings, which came in 2023 and 2022. But most significantly, the fact that Ruud schooled Zverev in straight sets in the semis last year could prove important for the potential result here.
