The grass court season is now in full swing, and the Queen’s Club Championships are a major event in the build-up to Wimbledon. That said, I’ve got tennis predictions today for the upcoming clash between Alcaraz and Draper on the grass. Read on for full details.

Our favourite Carlos Alcaraz vs Jack Draper predictions

Alcaraz is the man to beat at the 2024 Queen’s Club Championships. But he faces a young man who has just won his first ATP title – Jack Draper. Both have aggressive baseline games, so this should be a fun match to watch.

As for my thoughts on which way it will go, let me share my top two predictions now:

Draper to win a set – yes @ 10/11 (1.91)

These guys have played twice in the past, and Draper was forced to retire mid-match in one of them. But he did take a set from Alcaraz in 2022, and based on his current form, I can see him doing the same here.

Draper +3.5 games handicap @ 17/20 (1.85)

If Draper manages to snag a set from the top seed, I see no reason that he cannot finish the match inside a +3.5 games margin. This is all the more likely when big servers like Draper play on grass, as the surface suits those with big games.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jack Draper odds

Looking at the latest moneyline odds, Alcaraz has a 76.90% chance of winning this match compared with a 29.40% probability for Draper.

Defending champ vs home hopeful – further details on this grass court clash

Before these guys take to the court in the Queen’s Club Championships, let me give you some extra details.

Carlos Alcaraz preview

Having just won the French Open, Alcaraz will be feeling as confident as it gets. He looked impressive in his opening match against Cerundolo too, playing aggressive tennis and hitting his spots when it mattered. Alcaraz is also the defending champion here, so he is certainly expected to get the win.

Jack Draper preview

Draper is now ranked 31 in the world following his first ATP title last week. He’s playing great tennis, and his serve, as well as his forehand, can be pretty lethal on the grass. However, he hasn’t pulled out too many wins against guys ranked inside the top 5 on the ATP Tour. So there are still question marks over whether he can beat the likes of Alcaraz.

Alcaraz vs Draper head to head

Officially, the head to head between these two is 2-0 in favour of Alcaraz. However, Draper withdrew from one of those matches in the middle of the second set, so arguably, it should be 1-0 for Alcaraz. Either way, it’s Alcaraz who holds the winning record over the world number 31, but this could all change when they face off in this contest.
