Cameron Norrie vs Tomas Machac – Match Predictions

3-0 to Cameron Norrie

Like Norrie, Machac has had time to rest before this meeting. At Queen’s Club, Norrie got the opportunity to play at the fastest grass court event. He reached the quarter-finals and will be gearing up to get started against Machac. The Czech ace will likely be outgunned by last year’s semi-finalist, who shared prior to the match that his tactics and practice for this match are better than last year’s. He started off with a 3-0 win over Pablo Andujar and should get a similar result against Machac.

Under 35.5 Games

In that match against Andujar, there were only 28 games and we believe Norrie should get a similar result against Machac. The Czech ace was broken twice by an unfit Pouillie, with Uchida and Uchiyama also highlighting this. Norrie will not let his lapses in concentration go by and will pounce on them. Moreover, his thundering serve is different from what he got used to in the qualifiers. The British number 1 will look to finish this match early and has everything in the arsenal to realize this. Based on this, we are expecting to see a conclusion under 35.5 games.

Cameron Norrie vs Tomas Machac Preview

Our predictions for this match have now been established, let’s see how these players have fared so far in the Wimbledon.

Cameron Norrie

After an underwhelming clay court season, Norrie impressed in his five matches on grass, accumulating five wins in the process. He reached the quarter-finals of the Queen’s Club Championships and will hope to go one better at the All England Club, matching his last year’s output. Norrie will have to give an improved account of his abilities, one that is an improvement on clay where he had start-stop performances.

Tomas Machac

After his Prostejov final defeat to Dalibor Svrcina, Machac reached the quarter-finals in Bratislava. He then moved to Poznan for his final match on clay, when he was ousted in the first round by Rudolf Molleker. Machac did not have much time to switch to grass but impressed in qualifiers,  defeating Japanese duo Yasutaka Uchiyama and Kaichi Uchida. Lucas Pauille then withdrew with Machac claiming the first set and leading 3-0 in the second.
