ATP Winston Salem Predictions for Quarter-Finals

The ATP 250 event in Winston Salem is the final hard-court event prior to the US Open. Many of the big names aren’t playing, as is standard for the week directly prior to a slam. But many exciting names are still involved. Currently, we have reached the quarter-finals stage of this tournament. And as you have no doubt guessed, I am about to share my ATP Winston Salem predictions for a few of the quarter-final games.

ATP Winston-Salem Predictions

All of the games are due to kick off within the next 12-18 hours, so you’ve got time to back these predictions if you want to. Anyway, with the games rapidly approaching, let me stop providing you with an overview and get into the juicy details.

Predictions Winston Salem 2022

I’ve chosen to focus on three out of the four quarter-final matches here for a couple of reasons. One, I believe that these games are somewhat easier to predict than the remaining match that I haven’t covered. And two, these predictions supply competitive and valuable odds to justify the wager if you want to do so. With that in mind, let me get into my ATP Winston-Salem predictions for these three games right now.

Mannarino to beat Cressy – 2.30 odds

For me, Mannarino is a hugely underestimated hard-court player. I actually love how he plays the game, even if it is somewhat unorthodox. Mannarino takes the ball early, he is solid, and he is a very clever player too. As for Cressy, he is very much a power player. But I feel that Mannarino will soak up this power and frustrate the American. Should he be able to get an early break or so he could run away with the match, in my opinion.

With 2.30 odds on the table, this one seems a bit too good to turn down!

Gasquet to beat Djere – 1.72 odds

I am choosing to go with the veteran, Richard Gasquet, to win this one. Gasquet might be heading into the twilight of his career, but he is still playing great tennis. I have been majorly impressed with his last two matches too. He has dispatched both Musetti and Steve Johnson in three sets. This shows that he is playing well and that he is performing at his best when it comes to crunch time.

Djere, on the other hand, did have a great win against Goffin in the opening round. But his last two rounds have been fairly easy compared with Gasquet.

Draper to beat Huesler – 1.44 odds

Jack Draper is one of the most improved players on tour, in my opinion. The young Brit is a seriously powerful player, and he has beaten some big names over the last 12 months. And concerning his run in Winston Salem so far, he has beaten Fognini in the opener followed by Thiem in his next match. These two guys are hugely experienced, yet Draper has found a way to squeeze past them both.

So I certainly would not bet against him for the upcoming clash against Huesler.
