Currently, we are on the cusp of day three matches of the Montreal Masters. Today will be full of round of 32 games, and there are certainly some blockbusters in store. And as you have guessed, my promise here is to provide you with some ATP Montreal Masters predictions. Below, you will find these predictions along with their odds, although these could shift during the build-up to the matches. Either way, the predictions regarding the outcomes remain the same regardless of the odds.

Montreal Masters day three predictions

So – precisely what are these matches that I have chosen and who should you be backing? Well, I have shortlisted three games and provided predictions for each. It’s all discussed below, so let me get right into it.

Montreal Day 3 Predictions – Best Matches to Back

The round of 32 games in Montreal will begin at around 4 PM, UK time. At least this is when the first matches will kick off. But many of the better games to watch, and to wager on are scheduled for a little later this evening. Then again, this is the case assuming that we don’t endure another awful day of weather! However, assuming all goes smoothly, here are the games you can watch along with my top Montreal predictions:

Cilic vs Khachanov – Cilic to Win

One of the closer contests to pay attention to today involve Khachanov vs Cilic. These guys have played four times previously. And the head-head-head is tied at 2-2, with Khachanov winning the previous two meetings. However, given the way in which Cilic has been playing this year, I am going with him to take this match. The odds for him to win are at evens or better at the top bookmakers, which shows great value too. I should also add that he smoked Borna Coric in the opening round, whereas Khachanov struggled with Cerundolo.

Monfils vs Cressy – Monfils to Win

There has been plenty of hype surrounding Cressy this year, with good reason. He has enjoyed a rather impressive breakthrough, and many have tipped him to become the next number one for the USA. I wouldn’t bet against this from happening either. However, he is going up against a very experienced Gael Monfils later today. And Monfils is a fantastic hard-court player, even if he hasn’t exactly played loads of tennis this year.

This is the first time that these guys have played one another. But given that Cressy hit 10 double faults in his opener against Karatsev, I feel Monfils can capitalize on this. The odds for him to win are 2.10 too, which shows good value.

Rune vs Carreno-Busta – Carreno-Busta to Win

In the opening round of the Montreal Masters, Carreno-Busta upset the odds and took down Matteo Berrettini. I must say, his performance was seriously impressive too. Of course, Holger Rune is enjoying a bit of a breakthrough year at the moment. But I definitely think that the consistency of Carreno-Busta is enough to grab the win in this game. As for the odds, they are 1.50 for the Spaniard.
